And another carseat question

DH is on my last nerve (my fault, not his), and right now my aggravation is that he hasn't installed the convertible seats, even though I've asked him eleventy billion times to do so.  So I'm thinking tonight I might just *#&% do it myself.

Have any of you done this, and was it difficult?  I drive a honda pilot.

Re: And another carseat question

  • I didn't think it was difficult at all, especially if you have LATCH. Quite frankly, it took longer to get DD to stop squirming long enough to get the straps properly adjusted

  • I'm pretty sure it has LATCH - Britax marathon.

  • Remember how big of a deal installing the infant seat seemed like until you actually did it yourself?

The convertible seat is just as easy. ;)

I didn't do it myself -- DH did it, at the hospital, and bitched about how hard it was (it was probably not hard).

Read over your manual FIRST and then give it a go with the manual on hand. If you need help, you can always go to the fire or police station in search of a tech.

I'm the car seat installer around here. Its possible...and a good work out. lol

  • We have 2 britax marathons and they are WAY easier to install than our graco infant seat.

This is my DH too. He's not a "details" person.

Triple ditto, and one of the few things we fight about.  He'll be all "This is such a POS, I can't figure it out." Me: "did you read the directions?"  Him: "No."  Well....

  • It's so much easier than you think.  Just sit your son in the seat before installtion to find the fit, then install in the car. The manuals are great.  We don't have latch, so we use the seatbelt, and even that's easy.

I'm actually planning on taking mine out to re-fit my son because I haven't done it in a long time.  I want to make sure he's in there right.

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
