The godmother post got me thinking. All of us are OAD/leaning toward OAD, but is anyone else a guardian for someone else's kids in case something happens to them? My husband and I are guardians for his sister's kids -- one a year older than L and one a year younger -- and it is weird to think that all of a sudden I could be taking care of three children. Obviously this is only if the worst happens (knock on all wood in the world) and I love those kids so much but it is still a strange thought. We'd definitely have to move out of the city in that case. Anyone else?
Re: Are you a guardian for anyone else's kids?
And we still haven't settled on guardians for our own child, which is irresponsible. (No, there's no will either.) We don't really have any options beyond our own parents and then we can't agree on which set. It's been probably a year since we've even discussed it.
Yes for my cousins twins who are 2! Have to keep an eye on the parents to ensure they stay healthy and well. The day after they asked us they visited us and the twins were acting up and we have quite a chuckle when I said a renege on my acceptance of guardianship LOL.
Seriously though, very touched they would think of us and we do love their twins!
