Fleece snowsuit question.

DD's pedi suggested buying a fleece snowsuit for her to wear in winter instead of the poofy ones which can cause problems with snowsuits. I think this is a good idea since I don't plan to go out much with her in the winter aside from running errands or going to people's houses. My question is this...what should she wear underneath it? Just her regular clothes? Won't she be too hot? Is a onesie and socks too little clothing? The suit we have has built in hands and booties so nothing will be exposed. TIA!

I would think just her regular clothes.
