Convertible car seat

It's looking as though we will soon need a convertible car seat as DD is an 85th percentiler. I have a VW Jetta and find that we have to push the seat way forward just to fit her Peg Perego infant seat. Any recommendations for a good seat that will fit a small/medium sized car? My car also does not have latch in the middle seat. And we are in Canada so I don't think some favourites are available - I keep seeing the Nextfit being recommended but I don't think it's available here. Thanks!

    There is a fabulous facebook group called Car Seats for the Littles. They have several techs and lots of car seat safety enthusiasts that can give you recommendations.
