• @becomingmommyagain I know what you mean about being sad over not getting twins. We put two in and we got use to saying the babies that now when I see someone find out they are having twins it kinda hurts because I really wanted them both but I'm thankful for at least one. Glad to know I'm not the only one who felt like that.
• Can you add me, please? My EDD is 7/19. I won't have an u/s until December, but I'm guessing only 1 bean.

I feel like I'm on the verge of tears today. My super sore boobs are gone. I'm sure it means nothing, but in my head it means the end. :( I am having occasional nausea, so I'm hoping that's a good thing.

QOTW: We have unexpectedly had most of Thanksgiving dumped on DH and myself. I'm not thrilled about it, but I'll manage. I'm thankful for my 3 year old. She reminds me that it's okay not to take everything so seriously and to have a little fun.

Pregnancy Ticker
• Hi ladies!

we are actually having 2 beans - kind of a shock with the femara and TI cycle!
I've been pretty sick since 5weeks, so I'm really looking forward to feeling a little better, hopefully in another 3-5weeks! Knowing how much we wanted this pregnancy helps me deal with how awful I feel. I wonder how people deal with MS who don't want to be pregnant! Here's my informal research: do people with PCOS have worse morning sickness?

QOTW: We alternate years for Christmas and Thanksgiving with my family and DH's family. This year we will be with my family, which works out very well because more aunts/uncles/cousins decided to fly in this year! We will have 15 people, which is a lot for my family. DH's Thanksgiving is always ~50 people! We are so lucky to have so many people who will love our babies! we can't wait to tell them in 2 weeks!

I wonder how people deal with MS who don't want to be pregnant! Here's my informal research: do people with PCOS have worse morning sickness?

JennyS86 I'm going to say definitely not. I have PCOS and *knock on wood* I've been really lucky with the m/s. I have had bouts of nausea, some days worse than others, but overall I really have nothing to complain about. Today is a bad day, but I'm still ok and able to eat some lighter things.

katekat8721 What is rhogam? I've seen it on here a few times recently but this is the first I've ever heard of it.

AFM - I graduated from the RE yesterday! Such a bittersweet milestone. I have an interview with a midwife practice in a just a little bit, and then next week I have my first appt with my OB...we'll see what I decide to do! I've just heard so many good things about midwives that I think my opinion going into it is already skewed. Otherwise I've been feeling pretty good. I have had this weird pinching/poking feeling in my right side - like where your ovary would be. It kinda feels like when you get a cramp in your side during a workout but not as intense. Not sure what it is, but my u/s all look perfect so I'm trying not to worry about it. BBs are still a little sore, nips are def super sensitive. Hair is still coming out in clumps when I wash it...freaking Synthroid...but hopefully this will even out soon. That's pretty much it, though.

Glad to see that everyone seems to be doing well :-)

QOTW: We're going to my mom's for Turkey Day! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, so I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully my food aversions ease up by then and I can enjoy some big fat juicy turkey legs! I'm def a dark meat kinda girl. Other than LO, of course, I'm Thankful for a job that is flexible enough to deal with all my sick days and the long maternity leave I plan on taking ;-) I don't particularly like what I do, but I've been here the longest and I pretty much am at a point where I do whatever I want as long as my work gets done.

• @FutureMrsW9 - it's a shot you'd get if you're RH negative and hubby is RH positive. The babies will be RH positive and I'll be negative, so if our blood mixes, my body will start producing antibodies against the RH positive factor and any future children that were RH positive would be affected. Basically my body would try to hurt them! The rhogam suppresses this so you don't form those antibodies :-)

I don't know how long it takes the ovaries to go down to normal size, but my nurse said that weird side pinching is sometimes the still enlarged ovaries bumping up against things!

• Hi everyone

I'm 11 weeks. The MS is still strong though I now get a few breaks and am able to keep one meal a day down. I have my nt scan on Wednesday excited to see LO. We also had the 1 min of sadness when we saw we weren't having twins. But we are so happy and relieved to be having our little one :). Believe pregnancy moodswings have hit my DH though lol.
• @ajc&maggie I can't believe your 9 weeks! I feel like I was just reading your post when you found out it was 2 babies. Hope the bleeding stops soon you deserve a break from that reminder.
• I'll be 6w tomorrow. A little gagginess but otherwise no symptoms. I have another blood draw Monday so hopefully that number is good; it's so far past transfer I don't even know what it should be anymore. My first ultrasound is the day before Thanksgiving. It's still hard to imagine this pregnancy will end in a baby rather than a miscarriage, but I'm trying to take it a day at a time.

• @AJC&Maggie I am so sorry you are still dealing with bleeding! So scary and frustrating. But yay! for making it to 9 weeks.

@FutureMrsW9 I hope your meeting with the midwife went well! After doing some informal research myself, I am leaning toward a possibly medicated midwife delivery, unless there are complications of course. I have heard nothing but good things.

@ball.and.chain my worst m/s was week 6, hang in there! Good luck with your blood draw and first u/s!

@katekat8721 I hope your SCH is resolving itself! Bed rest, even modified, sucks!!

Pregnancy Ticker

• Hello lovely PAIFers!

I graduated from RE and had my first ob appointment this week. I do have an appointment with an obgyn+midwife that do homebirths. Although my mother, we told her yesterday, immediately said "don't you dare have your first baby at home." Whoops! I guess she knows me well, too well.

I heard baby's heart and saw bean again at 8 weeks.

Less cravings, more aversions. Its crazy how I want something... I want it... I want it... I am close to having it... And then I don't what that anymore. Poor hubby.

Ovaries still huge (size of grapefruit). So no moderate/high impact exercise for me. I've gained 8 pounds since start of IVF. Trying not to gain weight, maybe lose a pound or two before second tri. I feel bloated and swollen but significantly less that a few weeks ago. I think IVF meds are leaving my system. Hurrah!

I dreamt of my baby boy last night. He had his dad's hair, my lips and big brown eyes. I was in love. I've secretly wanted a girl - but truly, after this dream, I know the love I will feel will transcend my child's gender. I can't wait. Oh, and my hubby drew this while I went to the bathroom @ restaurant. I think its sinking in for him too! Finally!!!

Big hug to everyone
• Still just sick over here at 11 weeks. 2 days. Had some abdominal cramping like I used to have with endometriosis before. It comes and goes but I don't know if there is anything we can do about it. We are "coming out" on FB this weekend so that will be fun! I wish the best for all you ladies and for us all to hang in there until the next tri!

QOTD: both families in town so from one dinner to the next. I am so thankful for my DH as well.

• So lasts week's u/s and bloodwork came back inconclusive- it still could go either way. We have another one Tuesday, and I'm hoping it'll be more definitive.

I definitely feel pregnant though, as morning sickness is in full swing this week! I'm hoping it's a good sign :).

• Hi! I'm new around here :-) We are pregnant for the first time ever after 3 rounds of clomid only and two rounds of IUI. Luteal phase defect for me, once we got me ovulating and low sperm count for the hubs. So, we are super excited with an EDD of 7/4/14.

QOTW: Our families both threw fits over us sharing holidays recently (we did Mother's Day with his fam and Father's Day with mine. That made no one happy) so we decided to do our own thing for Thanksgiving this year! We are visiting friends in SoCal, going to California Adventure, then going to a trial with my competition dog. Selfish? Maybe. But we were tired of the "why do you always pick them over us" junk.
• @Pup4gdb my family is the same way when we see DH's family. Sounds like your going to have a great thanksgiving! Welcome!
• @uagirl my sore boobs went away pretty quickly too.

11w today and I added a ticker! Woohoo! Feeling more confident but still nervous. I don't have many symptoms and I have been lucky that I haven't gotten morning sickness. I have been a lot more tired this week. We were going to tell my grandparents at Thanksgiving when we'll be almost 13 weeks. But our NT scan is the first week of December. I am wondering if we should wait until we get those results before we start telling anyone else.

QOTW: We're lucky that we can combine families a little bit for the holidays making it easier on both of us. We're having turkey day at my parents house with about 10 people from my side of the family and my MIL will be there. I really can't wait until we get a bigger house so we can start hosting. We've had our house buying plans on hold until we could figure out if we would be able to have kids.
I am really thankful that I haven't gotten sick yet this fall and haven't gotten the flu. Waiting until 2nd tri to get a flu shot!

• Hi everyone! Would you mind adding me? :) EDD 6/22/14 with one bean.

I'm 9 weeks now and I'm so happy the first trimester is moving fast. I had my first OB apt last Wednesday and everything was perfect. I set up my NT scan for 12/5. It couldn't come faster! :) I find myself day dreaming of ways to con another ultrasound. lol. I've been feeling a little better the last two days (knock on wood). The nausea hasn't been as bad.

I bought a fetal doppler online but haven't been able to find the baby's heartbeat. It's pretty tricky to find when your baby is the size of an olive. lol I'm hoping to find it soon. Does anyone have one?

QOTW: We're doing thanksgiving with the inlaws. They're local so no traveling this year which will be nice. I'm thankful for my beautiful daughter, this little baby growing inside, and my supportive husband.

• I haven't posted in the "Check In" in a few weeks, so I guess I need to catch up! We have one little bean, he's a few days ahead which we are very grateful for. We were so nervous that with three embryos our chances of multiples were high, but it all worked out. Not that we wouldn't have loved 2!

This morning RE found a SCH (I bled last night and was freaking out), so I am on modified bed rest. I'm having mixed feelings. I'm worried, because I was hoping to have a simple pregnancy without drama. I'm glad that we found the source of the bleed and got to see the peanut again today. And I am relieved that I get to take some time off of work to relax and rest.

QOTW: I am grateful for my incredible husband and my dogs. They make me so happy. They are a constant joy in my life, and are always giving me a reason to smile. My husband is the best. The man would rather we ditch our social obligations and watch an Indiana Jones marathon, while ordering take out, in our PJs. We were made for each other. I am also really grateful for yoga pants, because they are the only thing that fit me right now (yes, I am channeling Regina George).

• twistsandturnsto2 The meeting went really well! I had lists upon lists of questions, but I felt like it was better to just talk than sit there an interview the person. I think you learn so much more that way. It felt nice to be treated like someone who is pregnant vs. a sick person. I do have an appointment with my OB this week, so we'll see how that goes, but I'm really leaning more towards the midwife practice. I've heard nothing but good things about midwives vs. OBs, and I'm also planning to do a medicated birth with a midwife unless, obviously, we need surgical intervention, which hopefully we don't!
