Re: ~~~First Tri Check-in 11/15/2013~~~
QOTW - My parents, sisters and their families, and grandmother are all coming up to our house for Thanksgiving. We are going to make our announcement during Thanksgiving dinner. I'm so thankful for my husband and all his support these past months, but also my teenagers. When we told them about baby they were so excited. They keep saying "when our baby is here...." I love how they are calling it "our baby".
@becomingmommyagain I too get the twin emotions. We would have been totally excited for two, and since I am a twin myself it would have been such a neat bond. But there is a bit of relief there too. The things IF does to us!
AFM- all is fine here. I'm feeling better some days, still awful others. I am fully taking advantage of the good days! We started cleaning out the room for the baby, and H was right, it does help make it feel a bit more real. I actually made some baby purchases myself this week too. 2 books, some mat pants for work and a mat dress for the spring. The clothes were on clearance so check out the online clearance deals before you buy.... The dress was $9! Couldn't pass it up!
QOTW: We are having a quiet dinner at home just H, myself and my mom. Since it's just the 3 of us we are making a turkey breast for leftovers but the main course will be rack of lamb! We don't get to sit down for a meal with her often so it should be wonderful. This may sound strange but I am thankful in a way for IF. Financially and emotionally it wreaked havoc, but it brought H and I closer together, no matter if I ended up KU or not, and it gave us an awesome appreciation for this little life growing inside me. We won't take a moment for granted with this LO.

we are actually having 2 beans - kind of a shock with the femara and TI cycle!
I've been pretty sick since 5weeks, so I'm really looking forward to feeling a little better, hopefully in another 3-5weeks! Knowing how much we wanted this pregnancy helps me deal with how awful I feel. I wonder how people deal with MS who don't want to be pregnant! Here's my informal research: do people with PCOS have worse morning sickness?
QOTW: We alternate years for Christmas and Thanksgiving with my family and DH's family. This year we will be with my family, which works out very well because more aunts/uncles/cousins decided to fly in this year! We will have 15 people, which is a lot for my family. DH's Thanksgiving is always ~50 people! We are so lucky to have so many people who will love our babies! we can't wait to tell them in 2 weeks!
Mama to Three Girls:
Twins born March 2014 at 26 weeks due to preterm labor
and our 37weeker born May 9th, 2016!
We go back Monday to check on the SCH.
@uagurl welcome! My boobs were real sore for awhile but that was one of the first symptoms to leave. Don't worry!
@Mwhigham22 yay for Monday!
@twistsandturnsto2 we started clearing out babies rooms too, it definitely makes it feel more real :-)
QOTD: we're going to my grandma's for thanksgiving. I'm supposed to help cook but I'm not sure how I can if I'm still on modified bed rest at that point. I'm so thankful for my husband. Mwhigham said it way better than I ever could. IF had made us stronger if that's possible. I can't wait to see him be a dad
katekat8721 What is rhogam? I've seen it on here a few times recently but this is the first I've ever heard of it.
AFM - I graduated from the RE yesterday! Such a bittersweet milestone. I have an interview with a midwife practice in a just a little bit, and then next week I have my first appt with my OB...we'll see what I decide to do! I've just heard so many good things about midwives that I think my opinion going into it is already skewed. Otherwise I've been feeling pretty good. I have had this weird pinching/poking feeling in my right side - like where your ovary would be. It kinda feels like when you get a cramp in your side during a workout but not as intense. Not sure what it is, but my u/s all look perfect so I'm trying not to worry about it. BBs are still a little sore, nips are def super sensitive. Hair is still coming out in clumps when I wash it...freaking Synthroid...but hopefully this will even out soon. That's pretty much it, though.
Glad to see that everyone seems to be doing well :-)
QOTW: We're going to my mom's for Turkey Day! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, so I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully my food aversions ease up by then and I can enjoy some big fat juicy turkey legs! I'm def a dark meat kinda girl. Other than LO, of course, I'm Thankful for a job that is flexible enough to deal with all my sick days and the long maternity leave I plan on taking ;-) I don't particularly like what I do, but I've been here the longest and I pretty much am at a point where I do whatever I want as long as my work gets done.
IVF/FET #1 - BFP!!
DX - PCOS 2004
FET #2 - scheduled for 11/24/15
I don't know how long it takes the ovaries to go down to normal size, but my nurse said that weird side pinching is sometimes the still enlarged ovaries bumping up against things!
Today I had my second (and last) ultrasound with my RE. When I asked if everything looked alright, my RE said that he couldn't paint a better picture which made me feel relieved. Baby is measuring on track and we were able to see the heartbeat which is so neat. My biggest symptom has been abdominal cramps, which I guess is common, just something I hadn't heard of before. We haven't yet spilled the beans to anyone - we might tell our parents this weekend!
QOTW: Every Thanksgiving we go over to my family's for lunch and then my DH's family for dinner - it makes for a long day with too much food, but it is nice they live close enough that we can do this and see everyone that day. I agree with lots of you that I am thankful that IF (even though it sucked) made DH and I have a stronger relationship. Am also thankful that we both have decent jobs, live in a great neighborhood, and have supportive families. I'm also thankful for all of you IF gals who have been such a great support through this journey!
I'm 11 weeks. The MS is still strong though I now get a few breaks and am able to keep one meal a day down. I have my nt scan on Wednesday excited to see LO. We also had the 1 min of sadness when we saw we weren't having twins. But we are so happy and relieved to be having our little one
QOTW: My wife keeps me sane, and my cat makes me laugh every day!

@FutureMrsW9 I hope your meeting with the midwife went well! After doing some informal research myself, I am leaning toward a possibly medicated midwife delivery, unless there are complications of course. I have heard nothing but good things.
@ball.and.chain my worst m/s was week 6, hang in there! Good luck with your blood draw and first u/s!
@katekat8721 I hope your SCH is resolving itself! Bed rest, even modified, sucks!!

Hello lovely PAIFers!
I graduated from RE and had my first ob appointment this week. I do have an appointment with an obgyn+midwife that do homebirths. Although my mother, we told her yesterday, immediately said "don't you dare have your first baby at home." Whoops! I guess she knows me well, too well.
I heard baby's heart and saw bean again at 8 weeks.
Less cravings, more aversions. Its crazy how I want something... I want it... I want it... I am close to having it... And then I don't what that anymore. Poor hubby.
Ovaries still huge (size of grapefruit). So no moderate/high impact exercise for me. I've gained 8 pounds since start of IVF. Trying not to gain weight, maybe lose a pound or two before second tri. I feel bloated and swollen but significantly less that a few weeks ago. I think IVF meds are leaving my system. Hurrah!
I dreamt of my baby boy last night. He had his dad's hair, my lips and big brown eyes. I was in love. I've secretly wanted a girl - but truly, after this dream, I know the love I will feel will transcend my child's gender. I can't wait. Oh, and my hubby drew this while I went to the bathroom @ restaurant. I think its sinking in for him too! Finally!!!
Big hug to everyone
QOTD: both families in town so from one dinner to the next. I am so thankful for my DH as well.
I definitely feel pregnant though, as morning sickness is in full swing this week! I'm hoping it's a good sign

QOTW: Our families both threw fits over us sharing holidays recently (we did Mother's Day with his fam and Father's Day with mine. That made no one happy) so we decided to do our own thing for Thanksgiving this year! We are visiting friends in SoCal, going to California Adventure, then going to a trial with my competition dog. Selfish? Maybe. But we were tired of the "why do you always pick them over us" junk.
IF, 5 losses, 1 son, 1 on the way.
