Sooooo the lil man started off with Mommy early on, but as soon as he discovered he could say Daddy.. Nada not a single Mommy passed those lips unless he was seriously upset. We then progressed onto Hi Daddy, Bye Daddy.. super cute at 7 am when hubby tries to sneak in quietly from work undetected... NOT happening. He would shoot up in bed with a huge grin on his face and shout it loud enough to wake the neighborhood lol.
Last week or so I have heard a few "mummy" ..and yesterday and today " HI Mummy !! " I get a Bye directed at me.. but I am waiting for "Bye Mummy.. Bye ..Bye Mummy!!!" like he does to his dad. It's so frickin funny, he tells you Bye even when you aren't going anywhere if he wants to be left be LOL ...and he can be very adamant about it too.. very emphatic.
I am not sure where Mummy came from since we always used the americanized version Mom, Momma or Mommy not the British style of Mam or Mum.
Re: Finally....
Hahah sometimes it scares me just how much of me I see in him.. more attitude and charactersistics than looks wise... I am still convinced they had my dates wrong and this kid is truly an Aries like his Mum .. oh dear lol
When he is being a total butthead even DH looks at me and rolls his eyes and says... "well he is half you" He is fiercely independent, stubborn and fearless...and will point blank you look you in the eye and grin and say Hi as he does something he knows you dont want him to do... like he is daring you to do something about it.
But on the flipside the other 99% of the time he is an adorable cuddily sweet and hilarious little monster... when he isn't teething and refusing to sit in his car seat.
We still haven't encountered the No word yet thank goodness.. but he sure has learnt to say no by shaking his head lol. He has no problem communicating that one lol.
He has quit throwing food and cups for the most part which is great.. now he picks things up and say done and hands them to you unless he is having a total tantrum.
Yup.. the kid sure does have his Momma's feisty streak .. but he has my loving side too so I won't complain. He makes me laugh tho because apparently daddy kissing mommy is hilarious, but too much of that nonsence and he grabs my hand and drags me off across the room lol
He is learning so many new things lately it's cool but scarey to see him grow up so quick.. his latest trick since masetring stacking the little blocks is stacking shampoo and body wash bottles in the corner of the bath .. this kid stacks bottles 3 high now.. WTF .. give me back my baby !!! This time last year he was just starting to pull up and wasn't even cruising furniture. Now he is almost pedalling his tricycle, going down slides and can walk the entire mall without a problem...and it's not a small Mall.
He will get to go see Santa this year if he seems interested.. we didnt do it last year but at Easter he was fascinated by the Easter Bunny at the Mall so we'll do the same thing and play it by ear. Take him there and if he shows interest we'll get pics if not.. no worries. I just hope he doesn't rub Santas leg the way he did the poor bunny LOL.. he loved that damned rabbit so much I almost felt bad for the kid in the costume being petted by a toddler .. but on the bright side my kid was totally relaxed and happy and not scared by sitting with a giant rabbit at all.
Last time I sat on Santa's knee I accidentally landed on something else rather abruptly and with impact and I spent 10 minutes apologizing cos I seriously thought I'd hurt the poor guy... bet he never did another corporate Santa event after that .. oops LOL
