Babies R Us Baby's First Christmas Event

I just came across this and thought it looked fun. Turns out May babies go this weekend. Thought i'd share.

    AllisonO78, We're April too and ours is this weekend.  Does that vary by location?

    A few of my friends went with their LO's last weekend and they said that no one did any kind of age verification.  If yours looks to be about the right age, I doubt anyone would question your going.

    April through June is this weekend. Did your friends have any feedback? Worth going?

    Oh, duh - I know why we missed / will miss it. Swimming lessons are at the same time.  I was thinking I was out of town when it happened. Nevermind! Long day.

    Yes, they said it was good.  Everyone gets a $10 BRU gift card and there are other free samples and demos.  They said it was clearly heavily sponsored in an effort to get you to try their brands but that's to be expected.

    Yes, they said it was good.  Everyone gets a $10 BRU gift card and there are other free samples and demos.  They said it was clearly heavily sponsored in an effort to get you to try their brands but that's to be expected. Works for me. I love being bribed.

    Anyone go? We won a lot of stuff!! We got a bib, yogurt, xmas pajamas, and a really nice quilt bedding thing and the 10 dollar gift card!

    We totally almost screwed it up too. For some reason I thought it was at Toys R Us so we were 30 minutes late to Babies R Us. Then walked in and started winning that stuff (blanket and pjs). Yup some side eyes came our way.

    Ours was lame. You had to wait until 10 to get your bag, and then they did a drawing for one outfit. And the gift card couldn't be used today.

    That stinks. Ours gave away probably 6 outfits, 4 blankets. Same with gift card, have to wait 6 hours.

    Yeah ours was pretty lame too. I got my gift card but couldn't use it. They only gave away one outfit and we didn't win it so booo! Lol.

    ETA - Other than that we got the baggy with the sticker and some coupons. The plastic mat for her to eat and they had water and yogurt but as some have said she's still too young for that and yogurt that last for a few months unrefridgerated doesn't sit well with me.

    Same here. But they did say that I could come back each week to participate in the raffle and get a gift card. And at least I now know that I could get there at 9:50 and be able to participate. The bastards had me there at 9am.

    You guys didn't even get bibs or yogurt cups? It seemed like they were making up the raffles as they went but for sure everyone got bibs, gift bags, they made baby hand ornaments, gave high chair mats.

    They had the yogurt, but she's not ready for that. They also had the ornament kit and high chair mat plus a bag with a sample of rice cereal and some Gerber coupons. No bibs and they raffled two New Years outfits.

    That stinks!! He doesn't eat yogurt yet but ours doesn't expire until March so we put in on the shelf. Although, yogurt that doesn't expire until March??? Gross.  :-&

    Ours had the yogurt, bottled water, the My 1st Christmas sticker, instructions for an ornament craft that we didn't get, and if you waited until 10 you got the gift card. They even had two outfits up for the raffle - one boy and one girl - but they only raffled one off, and then the other one went back on the rack I guess.

    The lamest part of all though was that when we got there, they told us to just go stand in a group and talk amongst ourselves. FOR AN HOUR. Yeah effin right. So of course I shopped. Diabolical plan. Hmph.

    Ours was kinda lame too.  We had the usual freebies- yogurt, placemat, make your 1st ornament, but the raffle was for only one new year's outfit.  We did get the $10 gift card, which we couldn't use till the next day.  Luckily, the raffle was at 9:30, we had gotten there at 9:15 and had shopping to do, so we were in and out.
