Re: Sunday Victories

  • I got DS to nap in his crib once a day almost every day this week. Also, DH and I left DS with my mom for the first time so we could go to a wedding. We had a blast and I looked fabulous!

We went to the mall this weekend and she needed to be fed right before we left. So I hopped in the back seat to feed her. There was someone sitting in their car with their signals on trying to get in our spot. They didn't get the hint after a good 15 minutes that we weren't leaving anytime soon. The old me would have been really bothered and tried to rush to accommodate them. Not the mom me. I took my time, I changed her, I even took the time to put on some lip balm before pulling out of the spot.

I hate how people just sit there and wait. Even before I was a mom, I would just sit in the spot. I have walked around the lot "looking" for my car just to piss people off...LOL

I'm also the proud new owner of a k'tan and have been baby wearing all day. I'd marry it if I could. Why did I wait so long to buy one?

At least they didn't honk. If they did all I could picture is boobs flailing in the parking lot to shut them up. My boobs not yours. Lol!!!!'

We have finally mastered taking LO out and about to the stores and reading her cues and preventing meltdowns.

This! I can finally take my toddler on outings

I told H that maybe I should roll the window down and jiggle my boobs out so the get the idea that I'm busy in there. ;)

  • I managed to get LO peacefully in the Ergo, walked to the store, got a latte, shopped, and walked home with no meltdowns!

  • I ended up pumping about 8oz more than I needed for the week.

This is me too, to the very ounce! It was such a relief because that was one of my big anxieties about returning to work.

I also lost 2 lbs after having stayed the same the last 6 weeks. Idk how, we ate out 4 times last week, but it happened. Being back to work and not snacking all day probably has something to do with it...I'll take it.

  • I ate breakfast without a child interrupting. I'm also really proud that I almost crocheted an entire scarf last night after the kids went to bed :)

  • I vacuumed and washed floors, cleaned the bathroom, hung up frames and shelves in LO's room, grocery shopped, and just made a batch of cookies! Whew! Did I mention I have NOT showered yet today! My lil honey has been taking good naps today so that's why I'm so productive.

Ok this really bothers me. Not you zever, you were legitimately busy. Why would you continue to occupy a space that you do not need?

We were in a spot designated for expectant mothers and mothers with strollers, so it's not like they didn't know we had a baby.

What killed me was I checked out their back seat as we left. No kids, just 2 adults. I was livid.

  • I have managed to do absolutely nothing. And I have loved every single minute of it.

  • @roostermemphis right on! I wish I could sit back, but I am a crazy that needs order to my crazy life.
  • @Zever000 that comment quoted funny. I wasn't saying that your post bothered me. You had a legitimate reason for being there and taking a long time. What I was talking about was that Bunnyfer replied "Even before I was a mom, I would just sit in the spot. I have walked
around the lot "looking" for my car just to piss people off...LOL"

    edit spelling

    Ah, gotcha :)

  • We drove 3 hours each way to visit some hometown friends and family. LO did great the entire drive, even though it was just after his 2 month shots. I also breasts fed in front of my grandpa- covered up of course.

  • I buttoned a pair of pants this morning! B-)
I am so jealous!! I started a meal replacement shake diet yesterday (just breakfast and lunch with healthy snacks in between). Hoping that I can button my jeans very soon!

Made it through the airport and flight with lo without having a breakdown and throat pinching a guy for telling me I have a disability because I have a child and should board the plane priority. Asshole!
I don't get it, he told you that you have a disability because you have a child? Doesn't make any sense.... maybe he had a few too many at the airport bar?

  • All three of us survived my first week back at work and DH's first week of watching LO
  • LO slept 7.5 hours straight last night! Here's to hoping she'll be doing that more often!
