June 2013 Moms

Crawling

Crawling is tough for mom. I'm not sure how this child keeps getting stuck. I watch her, turn around for one minute, and Lily is stuck under the couch. Not head first. Up to the waist under the couch. I just watched her crawl into her exersaucer bottom to get a paci that fell and get stuck trying to get out. It's funny and stressful all at the same time. On another note, so many things flash danger now.

  • She was born at the end of May and has pretty much been a nonstop mover. Anything to not be a baby.

  • My kid can roll onto his belly but doesn't care to do it very often lol  My nephew walked at 8 months (never crawled) but his little sister started standing at 7 months so she's well on her way. I'll take my immobile kid lol

  • I wish she was immobile. It was a lot easier to get things done.

  • My guy moves around a lot in his sleep. He rolls onto his belly and pushes himself into the corners of the crib. He does it during tummy time too. I was always looking forward to ds1 crawling and waking but when it happened i wished he had stayed immobile longer! Ds2 is only 4 1/2 months but I have a feeling he'll be moving soon to try and keep up with his brother.

  • My lo desperately wants to crawl but just can't quite figure out how
  • My other two were crawlers at 6 and 7 months and they both were walking by 10 months. I'm totally okay with Owen doing the same! :)

  • LO just learned to roll but he does funny things with his legs. When he's on his back, it's like his trying to do a back bend.  When he's on his stomach he puts it butt up in the air with his legs straight out. It's really funny, wish I had pictures to saw y'all. He's always on the move.

There are June babies crawling already?!?!!!??!

This. My baby just rolled for the first time last week!

still no rolling...but my friend has a 6 month old who is crawling and rolling and speaking spanish...

No rolling here either! I think maybe cause he's a big guy it's a bit harder for him? Crawling already sounds crazy! Everything's going way to fast!!

  • My guy started the nonstop back to belly roll last week. He looks like he's breakdancing but he's not crawling just yet. I'm hoping he just keeps spinning on his stomach for another month or so.

This sounds exactly like my LO. It's starting to look like he's going to be an early crawler. Shoot me now.

  • Haha, I'm a late to the game baby. He was 12 days overdue and born on July 5th and he is a tanker so he is still totally a lump. We thought the name Arlo was fitting for his sloth like arrival after being overdue and then a 46 hour labor and he is proving us right. However his brother was a little slow to get moving but then turned into a Spider-Man like climber so I'd rather not go through that again.
And now I need to stop writing because I can hear spidey climbing into the window frame again. Very happy with DS2 being a doorstop!

  • No. Noooooo crawling yet, please.

  • Yeah... Wyatt is trying to crawl too, guys. Don't be jealous. Nothing is safe anymore, he can reach practically anything he wants (Lucy's hair, the wall), but lacks coordination and faceplants often. Good times. Lord help me when he's fully mobile.
