My heart hurts..

in August 2013 Moms
I'm home alone withy LO tonight. Anytime I hold him and am not feeding him he screams til I put him down. Then once I am no longer holding him he's content. It's like he wants nothing to do with me and it's breaking my heart. Anyone else dealing with this?

    I'm sorry. My toddler told me he doesn't love me yesterday so I feel your pain. :) just try to enjoy the freeness. I'm sure it won't last!

    Yep! Just last night. It had me really upset for a bit but he liked it when I smiled at him while he was in his crib. Thought maybe he wanted the interaction rather than snuggles.

    There have been times both my babies wanted to just stretch out for a bit! I'm sure tomorrow LO will want to be all cuddly again.

    I'm sorry. Feeling rejected is hard. But think of it more as he's learning to be more and more independent. He'll always come back to you, you're his home base. I'm sure it's just a phase where he's learning new skills. Hang in there momma!

    Ya sometimes he just wants to be alone. My sister was so surprised when i told her to just put him down. Sure enough he was happy just being solo. When he gets like that I take the opportunity to read him a book or show him pictures. Or I'll put him in the swing and put music on and I'll read or tidy up.

    Before long he's ready for snuggles again!

    He used to prefer me.. And I LOVED it. But since being back at work I feel like our dynamic has changed. He'll go to anyone and be happy. And that he likes me less. Irrational? Maybe.. But I want him 24/7.. And I want to feel like I'm more to him than the milk truck.

    Sometimes Z will fuss with me all say then as soon as daddy gets home she's all smiles... Ugh!
    I get that feeling too when everyone else can console her except me.
    She's usually good and not too fussy but I think she's wanting a little bit of space from me. I personally don't like it. Lol

    @k4maynes I can't remember your new sn yet but I feel like that too about only being needed for food.

    Yeah sometimes my little guy wants to just be left alone. I think he is being more independent lol. He sometimes likes to just chill which is fine with me because it allows me to get a few things done.
