  I worry about that on this site too, esp since we all love sharing pix of our LOs. On HDBD if 50 of us share pix, there are like 1500 views! That's a lot of lurkers. Creepy!

  All social media sites are locked. However, even locked someone could still access your instagram photos because of hashtags. Putting pics of your kid online ANYWHERE is a risk.

  It's a risk leaving your house everyday. It's also a huge risk crossing the street, as DH, LO and I almost got hit by 2 cars yesterday while in the cross walk with the green hand and everything.

  I also use the babywearing hashtag when posting photos sometimes! My account is private but I guess anyone can see them once you use a hashtag! Usually dh and I are in the photo so maybe that doesn't "appeal" to them! Gross! I feel a bit violated and scared that there's a baby I recognise on there!

  I think it's a great idea if you are posting pics of your LO, to post them of LO with someone. I guess that would make them less desirable since pedophiles aren't interested in grown ups. So gross, so sad. Thankfully I only have 3 pics of LO on my private account, with Month watermarks. I'll be using my screen name watermark also if I post more in the future.

  I actually don't think that is true.

  This is why I don't have a Facebook or allow my children's pictures to be on Facebook, I ask nicely to not post pictures of lo when someone takes a picture as in aunts and such

  So MH just lost his shit reading every single article about this and has been on Instagram for 2 hours reporting as many people into this baby role playing thing that he can find. He also is just calling people out on a lot of these pictures. (Don't worry, we made our accounts private). The only problem is that it's not illegal. It's just fucking whack and completely unsettling.
