BAT shit crazy..

We went to a friend's house tonight and left LO with our MIL .. We got a call that there was a BAT in their house and they locked themselves in the bedroom. DH Is currently in their house trying to find it while I sit in the car...
I hope and pray LO is sleeping through all of this..

There's no point to this post ... Except for that the subject seemed fitting...

Update... DH found him and somehow caught him in a box and then released him... We then spent the next hour casing the house for any of its friends,. LO slept the entire time. Lucky guy..

Lol! I saw BSC and then I saw MiL in yiur first paragraph and thought.. Ooo this is gonna be good. Not the drama I was hoping for... But glad they got the bat and LO slept through it all!

Thanks @zever000 .. I'd relay that to H but his head is already big enough from his capture.. You'd think he beat down a purse snatcher... What a hero!

We had one in our house once growing up (fruit bat). We had a cat and a cat door. Out cat caught it and brought it into our house! My mom had to catch it!

You have to be really careful with bats because an exterminator told me that a bat will latch on to the warmest thing at night, which is a baby!!! If I went in and found a bat attached to my baby I would lose my mind.

I would check with animal control and make sure your H doesn't need to get a rabies shot. Apparently they can bite without you knowing it.

I only say this because this just happened to a friend of mine and her family and they all had to get rabies shots.

Yea I was freaking a little but I knew he was safe in a closed room with MIL while DH caught him.. Thanks @corragiosa - he went in completely covered with gloves and a motorcycle helmet so I'm hoping he took enough precaution!

Strange opinion I'm sure...but I think fruit bats are kind of cute. Kathy and Hoda had one on their Halloween show and I found myself going..awwwww

Now, ask me if I feel that way when one is flying in my house...and I'll probably tell you the opposite.
