Hospital Baby Pictures Arrived!

I meant to post them with her birth story, but she woke up and started crying so I needed to feed her.

Again, this is little Charlotte Katherine. We went to a pediatric orthopedist Thursday to have a "hip click" looked at. The exam was not conclusive so we will be having an ultrasound of her hip done later this week. Hopefully it turns out to be nothing, I am terrified of the idea she might need a hip brace for 6 weeks. I had a friend point out, at least its before she is crawling, which is true, I love people who point out silver linings.

We saw a lactation consultant wednesday who started to help us work through our BF issues, she has a small mouth (doctors say her head is small and they are watching it along with her weight) and I am still retaining IV fluids meaning YAY ME, flat nipples that make it very hard for an early baby with a small mouth to BF. Hopefully by a week or two after her due date we will be fine, until then I will have to continue supplementing with formula. Birth weight 7 lbs 3 oz, at 1 week it was 6 lbs 12.5 oz, hopefully by two weeks we will make it back to birth weight....

Precious, just precious!! My little man went from 6lbs 14 oz down to 6lbs 1 oz:( we gained 2 ozs the other day so hopefully we are on the up swings. It's been a little over a week. Good luck, you will get there.
