Yep, for some reason when I need to put him to sleep, that is the perfect time to do everything from open a bag of chips, to opening soda, to slurp the last bit of soda out of the can like you are dying from thirst and that one drop will save you. Everything he does, he is loud at it. I told him "Can you just sit there and do nothing while I am putting him to sleep?! You sound like one of those people who bring chips with the loudest bags into a quiet meeting." Don't even get me started on how he thinks his whispers are quiet. I think a car horn is more quiet.
Yes as soon as I get LO to sleep my SO thinks it's a great time to sneeze, clear his throat, cough, and get up from the recliner 1000 times causing the foot rest to click into place and it's so loud! I aso believe he purposely kicks all of his loud toys and sets them off. Hello! I clean up and put them out of his way for a reason when LO goes to sleep. He gets many death stares from me during that period
Its so funny, now that I'm back to work hubby is complaining about how loud I am
Don't know if you ladies recall but a while back I was home texting with hubby while LO slept (after a horrible day and HOURS or trying to get him to sleep while I was exhausted) when hubby decides to call and the phone woke up the baby. I was so pissed and he didn't get it. "Its just one nap of many" get over it...in so many words. Now he is home taking care of LO and his mom called about something pointless and stupid (f'ing MIL) and woke the baby.. he was so pissed. Its so nice when he can appreciate my point of view! So worth giving up some of my maternity!!!
Rofl, this is hilarious. Same over here! Our office is right next to the nursery. So I put him down, then go to the computer half the time. That's when so trips over musical toys and comes to talk to me with his loud voice. "Be as loud as you possibly can be!" I whisper. He used to "help out" by doing the dishes and running the dishwasher but he chose to do it when I was trying to put him down for a nap lol.

Seriously what are they thinking--or not apparently. I know it's not supposed to be SUPER quiet so they can get used to noise but at least wait a bit until they are in a deeper sleep! Then when LO wakes up..guess who gets to put him back down again? Oh yes, me! Eta: grammar
My DH likes to open and close the garage door right below our bedroom (where LO sleeps) at least 5 times a night. Wtf is he doing out there?! And in the mornings he messes around putting his belt on as loud as possible. I just imagine he is swinging it around his head and slamming it into walls and dressers because that's what it sounds like.
This is hilarious...I thought my husband was the only one! His idea of being quiet is a joke. He does the chip bag open and talks loudly, but what's worse is he will start to play with LO during his 3am nursing session. He works late so usually when he comes to bed LO is up for a feeding. So instead of nursing a baby that's half asleep, I have to put a fully alert baby to bed. All while he goes to sleep. Yea I opened up a can of whoop ass on DH that night!
wtf DH (damn husband) you went out last night & I asked you to come home early to help me with Brayden because he's inconsolable, well 2:30a is NOT early jackass. And you wonder why I have an Attitude today.
They just don't get it. I am lucky that DH gets up with DS on weekend mornings so I can get a little bit more sleep before waking up to pump. That said, he manages to slam every cupboard multiple times and turns music on, etc. Sometimes I wonder if he is passive aggressively trying to get me up! I'm going to shut up now because he brought me coffee as I was typing this and pumping though. :x
Jesus, this was totally our house last night. LO is dozing in my arms and having a bit of a bottle, in the dark,in his room-- and outside the door and downstairs I swear it was like a train was suddenly coming through...
And for a change of pace... WTF man? You know that whites need to be separated for a reason. And for the love of all that is holy, don't wash my whites with denim! Now we need new guest towels since our formerly white ones are now gray. Ugh.
Re: WTF MH
DH thought it would be fun to a) forget the gift at home and b) leave the diaper bag at the church. Ugh
