Weeks: 39 weeks

Fruit : watermelon

Rants: I spent 5 days in the hospital this week for a severe kidney stone. Everyone kept saying 'why won't they just induce you?'/'is she here yet?' It made me stabby.

Raves: Despite hanging in the hospital and being practically immobile for all that time, my baby was able to keep baking and my OB said she sounds great!

Favorite part about this past week: We are officially moved into our new apartment, and I'm finally able to nest!

Cravings?: strawberry ice cream!

Weeks: 38 weeks
Fruit : Pumpkin
Rants: Wishing I had never consented to extra "growth scan" ultrasounds. The measurements aren't reliable from the research I've done so I feel like I gave myself unnecessary anxiety that baby is going to be big (think 10lbs).
Raves: Baby will be here soon! Wishing I could fast forward through the labor and postpartum recovery but otherwise can't wait to meet my squish

Favorite part about this past week: We've been making time to have dinner with friends and do things we won't get the chance to for awhile once LO is here, it's been nice.
Cravings?: Protein!! Every meal must include meat of some kind or I'm not happy.

Weeks: 41. Ugh.

Fruit : still a jackfruit, just bigger than last weeks jackfruit.

Rants: 41 weeks. Nothing working so far to budge the babe.

Raves: ultrasound on Thursday showed baby is healthy and cozy in there, just hanging out!

Favorite part about this past week: pedicure/foot rubs

Cravings?: a baby to snuggle

Fruit : pumpkin

Rants: swelling increased today; heartburn; DH's To Do list remains long

Raves: swelling is much less than 1st pg; DH brought up the bassinette

Favorite part about this past week: I'm ready for baby!

Cravings?: chemical smells (would it look inappropriate if I were sniffing the rubber ball at BuyBuyBaby?)

mstamant , thanks for the post. I am glad you are through that medical episode and in your new home.

kabrissette , my m/w has this concern also; I passed on a growth scan at 36w, but agreed to a growth scan at 39w; we'll see...

I was in the hospital with a phone that went black right before I started pushing!!!! Seriously!! But thank you!!
