Hubby just took LO to visit his mother for the afternoon. I have report cards to check, conferences to prepare for, lesson plans to write and papers to grade.....but the house is quiet and my butt is sitting on the couch with a hot cup of coffee. I'm contemplating going for a mani/pedi or taking a nap. Irresponsible or appropriate use of my time?? This has never happened before!!!

    It's the first time you have had time to yourself since your LO was born?! Girl, you deserve it!!! Indulge yourself!! Hell, I had my mom watch Rhys and went to get a manicure when he was only 2 or 3 weeks old! I am with him most of the time, but every mom needs a little break every now and then.

    All of this! (This coming from a mom who brought her daughter with her to the nail salon when she was 2 weeks old)

    Haha thanks everyone. I've had an hour here or there but never an entire day. I did some work then ate snacks and watched trashy tv in my pajamas all day. It felt wonderful :)
