Mama's got another question! ( sippy cup)

So on my travels trying to find diapers ( which we finally did!!) I decided to pick up a sippy cup. A has been really good at picking up things and holding her bottle so I figured why not.

My question is for those of you who have started using sippy cups, what are you putting in the sippy cup? Formula / BM, water , diluted juice ?

    I am using water. We have only tried once so far and he picked it up but decided he'd rather chew on the bottom of it rather than try to drink from the spout. Until he gets closer to mastering it I'm only using water. I just put like an ounce in it. I don't think I'm ever going to give him juice since it's not really nutritious. The pedi said I could offer him water with his solids anyway.

    Just water until he actually starts swallowing the liquid he sucks out then BM since I have a bottle hater.

    Thanks, I forgot to ask my pedi if I can offer her water while shes eating solids. So that is a reason behind my questioning as well!

    We ve given him one everytime we do solids since 4 months old with water.. He is just really starting to get the hang of it to pick it up and use two hands himself...at first hed really spit half the water out but now hes doing much better. We also took the plastic stopper out at first but now have it back in.  He loves it!

    What sippy cups do you guys use? I've given him a Nuby one but you have to suck kind of hard to get anything out (I tired).

    I got her the avent ones but didnt realize they had a top that doesnt come off. She gets distracted chewing on it. So I'd like to know what kind as well.

    We had really good luck with the playtex brand. The only brand so far, besides s tommee tippee sports bottle, that doesnt leak. Avent was horrible with leaks
