Tiny fingernails

How are you guys cutting your LO's nails? My LO is a huge fan of his hands and he is always moving and shaking. I'm afraid of cutting his skin or too much of the nail with his baby nail clippers. Are there any alternative ways that you've found easier? He's also a light sleeper so cutting them when he's sleeping isn't exactly an option.

Bite them off. Easier and safer. I also file my dd's nails.

I bite them off. Sounds gross yes but it works. I generally do it after a bath and them wash his hands when done. The nails are so thin and come off easily. Peeling them off is another option. Someone also had suggested using a pink soft buffing block, but biting them works for me. i will eventually cut them but I figure as long as he is not going to college asking me to bite his nails off, we are golden.

I cut her nails while BFing so she is in a milk coma.

I filed my DS nails for the first 2 weeks, they I tried the clippers. It is really a lot less scary after you have done it the first time. I watched some videos on youtube before I tried it. I did it while he was sleeping but some of the videos also recommended having one person feed LO and the other cut his nails, but not sure how what would work if you BF

It works I just did the hand that was facing up then switched sides and did the other hand. It would work with bottle feeding too especially if you can get a spouse to help! I did it by myself and it worked out well!

I bite them off. I do it while he's BFing. Super easy.

I bought those large nail files that are either coarse or medium grit. I file them when he's completely out. I trimmed them too early and made him cry once and I'm still traumatized from it.
