Do they do an internal exam at your D&C check-up?

I am not sure what happens at the check-up.  I don't want to take DD if I will have to have an internal. It will be a little hard to keep an eye on her, if I have my legs in the air.

    My dr. did not do one, but I believe it depends on your dr. and your circumstances. Maybe put a call in and ask the nurse.... GL!

    my doc did at my 6 week check up after I had my delivery. I don't know if it would be different for D&C, though. I can't remember if he did anything when I had my 2 week check up. At the 6 week check up I had just started AF (I thought) and he checked to make sure everything was ok. Turned out there was also a piece of tissue in the cervix that he helped remove - also a cause for bleeding. I did end up bleeding longer, so it was AF, but he still had to remove that tissue that might not have come out on its own.?

    I didnt have to.  She said if I was still bleeding she would have, but since it had stopped she didnt have to.  ITs different for everyone, if you can get a sitter I would recommend it.

    Yeah.. i had to be in the stirrups.. but umm.. she looked but didn't touch.. LOL.. So i wouldn't really call it an internal, but there was a speculum involved..

    I put DD in an umbrella stroller when it came time for the internal, so it was fine.  And the nurse was chatting with her on and off whiel the Dr. did the exam (female nurse that is there b/c I have a male Dr).
