What do you give for a baptism (if you're a godparent)?

So, I'm going to be a godparent to my oldest friend's new daughter this weekend. I'm honorary godparent and aunt to her two other children, but I wasn't able to attend their baptisms. I made some baby blankets for this baby before she was born (June) and I give birthday presents to the older two every year, I probably spend around $30 apiece on them at birthdays. I feel like she's probably too young for religious jewelry or a rosary, maybe a children's book with Bible stories? Are bonds still a thing people do, or would that be super-expensive? Suggestions welcome.

HSG 6/30/14 - found blocked left tube and 2 'bubbles' on uterine wall.
Hysteroscopy/Lap--8/4/14 - Tubes unblocked. Polyps removed from uterine wall. Septum removed.
 9/30/14--Off the bench! Unmedicated TI through December 2014
BFP 12/14/14!!! Beta #1, 12/16: 990 Beta #2, 12/18: Over 2000! Beta #3, 12/22: over 8000!
 U/S #1, 12/23: gestational sac, possible heartbeat
U/S #2, 12/30: HEARTBEAT! 128bpm, measuring right on at 7w EDD: 8/19/2015
U/S #3, 1/9: BPM in the 180s, IT'S HAPPENING!!!

    DH and I gave a bank to our goddaughter.  It was either Noah's Ark or an ABC one that was engraved from Things Remembered with her first and middle name and date of baptism.  I think it was around the $30 range too since we don't spend that much on gifts.

    My coworker had a really cute idea for his goddaughter.  He and the godmother pitched in the get her a pearl and gave/will give her a pearl every year for her Birthday so she will have a real pearl necklace when she's older.  I think it was a package deal from a local jeweler or something, but I thought it was really sweet.

    DD gets bonds every year from several of SO's aunts and uncles. They are a great gift. I just hope that our financial institutions don't crash making them worthless. But that's not going to happen right??????

    I just gave a check (a little more than I usually give for birthdays and holidays), an outfit, and a cute book to my niece for her baptism. None of it was religious. I liked the idea of a baptism or godparent themed picture frame, but none of the ones I found were my/my sister's style.

    @TJD12 beat me to it, but we got DH's godson a Noah's Arc piggy bank with his name engraved on it.  We got ours at Hallmark and had it engraved elsewhere.  The parents seemed to really like it, and I know it was under $40 total.

    We have done a children's bible and a Fischer price Noah 's ark set but a savings bond is always a good gift !

    Bonds are pretty worthless now. They're gaining pocket change per year. You're better off putting money into a savings account because it will gain more interest than bonds per year. I can't begin to guess how many bonds I've cashed in in the last few months for people.

    Sorry, didn't mean to post and run but ended up running errands. Thanks so much for the ideas! I'll probably check out the Carmelite nuns' store in my hometown when we get there. I really should have thought of this before 2 days ahead of time.

    I am my niece's godparent. For her baptism I got her a pendent with her birthstone, and then a gold chain for my sister so my sister can wear it for now and pass it to my niece when she's older.

    I gave a friends son an ornament personalized with his name and baptism date. I have my godson a plaque with a short prayer on it that I found on etsy. It was really sweet and different.

    My son's godfather got him an ounce of silver and he gives him one every year for his birthday.  The thought is when he goes to college he can cash them in.  He also gave him an engraved snow globe from Things Remembered but I think that's more for us.  My sister, his godmother, got him a Bible and cash which I put in his savings account.
