Bottle warmers

Hello everyone,

I was just curious if somebody has a bottle warmer that they love and would like to let me know which one it is. I have one from Munchkin and absolutely hate that thing. The water comes out of the bottom and it boils the bottle rather than steam it. Means, the bottle is super hot when I pull it out but the milk is cold :( I got it as a gift, so I hate complaining about it but I think we're in the market for a new one. Hate to burn my fingers every day lol

Thanks

Re: Bottle warmers

  • I have the born free one and have no complaints. The bottle is warmer than the milk but not too hot and the milk does warm.So I swirl Iit for 10-15 seconds and it's perfect. We love it.

  • I have a giant Starbucks mug that we will fill with hot water and swirl the bottle to get it warmed through. I try to get DH to recognize LOs hunger cures so she is not screaming her head off if it takes a couple of minutes.
  • I have the First Years one (they make two I believe, we have the bigger one)... no complaints.  Although I wish it had a water resevoir versus having to put in little vials of measured water each time.

We never used one - we just sat cold milk in a cup/bowl of hot water for a minute and gave it to DS.
This!  I also just figured out that if you fill the water in the bowl to the same level as the milk in the bottle, the bottle stand upright in the water instead of floating on top.  We use a big tupperware bowl and put the lid on to help speed up the process.

  • I was just doing the bowl in hot water thing but got tired of how long it was taking. I got the Tommee Tippee one today and so far it's working great, takes about a minute an ounce.

  • I do the bottle in a bowl of hot water and I don't think it takes longer than 1 minute an ounce.... Actually, my DS will take it slightly chill too- bonus for when we are on the go.

  • Thanks everybody! I'm going to try the bowl with hot water until I found the right one :)
  • I personally think bottle warmers are not really needed. hot water + bowl couple would do the trick easily.
  • I usually use a big mug and hot water from the Keurig.  I also just got the Dr. Browns warmer for upstairs for nighttime feedings which is awesome.
