QOTW: What holiday tradition do you plan on continuing (or starting) with your LO (s)?

Hey there. 29w5d & feeling it. LO moves all day long, which I love! It hurts sometimes, I think its braxton hicks, the middle of my abdomen/lower belly gets hard and hurts then it goes away. I enjoy the movement so much tho. I failed 1hr GTT, going for 3 hr on Wednesday, Kinda nervous about that. I stopped drinking OJ and Ginger Ale, and laying off my chocolate chip cookie craving for now. I am every two weeks with my OB right now, very exciting. Dh hasn't seen an ultrasound since 13 weeks, so I am surprising him tomorrow and going to a place that does 4d ultrasounds. He's going to be thrilled.

I need advice:
I'm due jan 26. Dh got a once In a life time chance to go to tampa and have club seats for free dec 15. So he's going dec 14 &15.
Then, the following weekend, he's doing a guys trip to Atlantic city which is about two hours away. Am I being hormonal and jealous by not wanting him to go to AC? i told him to go, he said he wants to go hang with the guys bbefore the baby because he knows he's not going to want to leave her side for a long time... feedback please!!!!

@forevaarose I would let him go. If not it may cause resentment that he didn't get that trip before they were born. I kind of feel the same way when DH goes places without me but keep trying to remember I'm going to pull the wife/mommy card a lot once babies are here so might as well let him have his fun now lol.

I'm joining from 2nd tri this week!! I'm 28 weeks 3 days today and getting more scared each day. I'm scared that something will happen before the babies get here and i won't bring them home. I'm scared of bringing them home and doing something wrong, or not being able to handle it. Anything I can think of becomes a new fear for me. Our c section is going to be scheduled for Jan. 7th so I have a little over 7 weeks left at the most. Just trying to remember I have been afraid each step of the way and things are going fine so they will most likely continue to be fine.

As far as updates: I passed my GTT and am still slightly anemic. Was having issues with palpitations a few weeks ago and they went away but just came back this week. Babies are looking good as of yesterday and are 2 pounds 4 oz each. We have our cribs up and are finishing painting this weekend. And my shower is tomorrow!!!!!!

QOTW: I'm so looking forward to sharing my babies with our families over the holidays throughout the year. Since they should be coming right after christmas/new years's, the first major holiday should be Easter and I can't wait to dress them up.

I am most looking forward to sharing stories with them of family traditions, etc... of each holiday. Can't wait for these little miracles.

Yay, I'm 28 weeks today, so I'll follow Jez over here to 3rd Tri board! (Due 2/7 with a boy).

I just had my GTT this morning and am feeling like I could bounce off the walls! Whee! Other than that, it was not bad. I have to go back in a few hours for my 28 week checkup.

QOTW: We'll have to be starting some new holiday traditions for LO. He's going to be one of those confused kids who gets to celebrate Christmukkah. Our Christmas tree has a Star of David tree topper on it and at least one ornament that looks like a dreidel.

34 wks today! I am getting very anxious to meet these guys. I am in constant pain and exhausted, so I am soooo ready! But, hopefully I can make it another 2 weeks or so. I really need to make it through this next week because I have one last hair appointment and am anxious to go see the movie, Catching Fire.

I already gave my belly a pep talk, so hopefully they won't come before then. Plus, that would still be a little bit too early. Of course, after all these months of worrying about preterm labor, they will probably decide to take their sweet time making their arrival! My next u/s is Tuesday. I can't wait to see how big they are now!

Qotw: I'm with golfrgal on christmukkah. Dh is Jewish, but has agreed to let me raise these boys as Christians, as long as we let them celebrate the Jewish holidays as well. It is very important for dh to tell them about their culture and family history.

You can add me Jezebel - b/g twins due 2/5. 28w2d today! Had our 28 week growth check the other day and they both looked great - 2lbs7oz and 2lbs11oz. Cervix was at 3.6cm - and it was my last vag cam check - that in itself deserves celebration! I don't go back for another u/s for 4 more weeks - and then its for a BPP - which is so crazy that I am nearing the end.

My only real complaint is hip pain - in my right hip - and I wish it would go away although I know its probably only going to get worse.

QOTW: I haven't really thought about holiday traditions yet - I was just talking with a coworker about advent calendars - so I would like to do those with the kids.

Thanks - My mom said the same thing, I'm just so hormonal and we've never slept apart and I'm a big baby right now. So I'm kinda freaking out but trying not to hold it against him because I know once Nia is here he is going to wanna be home all the time. Thanks ladies!

30 weeks as of yesterday and as I posted in the 2IF check-in earlier this week we had a bit of a scare this past weekend from Saturday night into Sunday.

Started spotting and cramping late Saturday night and it didn't seem to stop so they finally sent me in for observation on Sunday. I was released after a few hours and fortunately baby girl and I are both doing fine. At my regularly scheduled appointment with my OB on Tuesday they did a follow-up u/s to check on my low lying placenta only to discover that instead of improving I now have full-on placenta previa (which explains the bleeding). Was told I am "special" and that typically my doc only sees one of these types of cases a year where the condition doesn't correct itself...super!

Basically this means a C-section for this mamma and more than likely baby girl will be coming early! We didn't discuss a date too much in depth yet, but my OB did say he'd like to get us to 38 weeks and then do the scheduled delivery, however, thought it might be more likely that we only make it to 35 or 36 weeks meaning baby girl could be here right before or after Christmas. Sooo not ready and hoping for all of our sakes to keep her cooking as long as possible! They will continue to monitor me closely and I have another appointment in 2 weeks. If anything I guess it motivates DH and I to get it together and finish the nursery along with the myriad of other last minute projects I want to complete before baby comes.

QOTW: What holiday tradition do you plan on continuing (or starting) with your LO (s)? Growing up it seems we traveled a lot for big family get togethers with grandparents, cousins, etc. Looking forward to just being home on Christmas Eve/Christmas so we can celebrate with just our little family. I also love to bake and DD has started to show an interest and we love to read and watch Christmas Movies and Books.....Can't wait for new baby girl to be able to join in the fun!

I have a two year old too, so we do Elf on the shelf, book for the 12 days of christmas, visiting Santa, seeing lights, Polar Express, and going to church. I will do crafts with her too and bake cookies. She now gets it, so it is a lot more fun.

@forevaarose - I feel the same way when DH hangs out with his guy friends on the weekend nights - I think I am just jealous because I can't go out and have some drinks with my friends, but he gets to! But honestly I would probably rather just stay home and go to bed early

I am 37.5 weeks! Had my weekly OB appointment today. Baby is still measuring small and if they don't see some good growth at next Tuesday's MFM ultrasound they will schedule an induction. I really hope she has had a growth spurt because I would like to keep her inside until she wants to make her debut.

The doctor also said they would like to see me put on a few more lbs. I am up 17 lbs this pregnancy and they want to see me between 25-35. I am kind of annoyed by this because pretty much through months 6-8 I would ask the OB or the NP at my appointments if my weight gain was ok and they said it was fine, and now all of a sudden the doctor is like "you should have gained more" umm ok did you not see the trend these past 3 months when you said I was fine? There isn't much room in my stomach right now to gain 10 lbs overnight!

Holiday Traditions - nothing specific, just so happy that we will have LO with us this year! Last year every eligible female in my family either had a baby or was pregnant and it was a really tough time for DH and I. I am looking forward to enjoying or enlarged family!

Hi ladies!

I'm 36 weeks, 3 days today. Had my baby shower this past Sat which was fabulous. My family and friends went all out! It feels great to be the one showered and to not feel jealous of the guest of honor. Like all of us, it's been a long time coming. DH and I are in good shape. We're installing car seats this weekend and doing some other last minute things for the nursery but we're basically ready and getting pretty excited.

Q: I have a pretty big family and we're all very close so we're looking forward to keeping up the traditions of getting together for the holidays. Last year was the first year I didn't celebrate Christmas in my whole life. DH and I hid from the world as we grieved our failed IVF cycle and the shot at a bio child. This Christmas we are going all out. What a difference a year makes. Feeling thankful and blessed.

Hi Guys!!

29+3 today EDC 2/4/14 with "Joshua". Was painfully cramping yesterday after packing and doing too much on Weds. I ended up getting iv hydration, fetal fibronectin test for PTL was neg, ultrasound showed cervix closed and over 3cm. Baby's right renal pelvis was slightly dilated- 5mm- they said it was common in boys; will need a follow up u/s around 36 weeks. My next OB appointment is Dec 5. Had my 3 hour GTT this week, and passed. Oh, bb is head down too; I was thinking he was still transverse.

Having stockings, celebrating with family on Christmas Eve. I like the idea of Elf on a Shelf.
