I've been having dizziness/lightheadness every day for the past 2-3 weeks. Coupled with some other inconsistent symptoms (hair falling out, cold all the time, forgetful, depressed feeling), I thought I might have a thyroid issue. I saw a NP at my dr's office the other day, who declared that everything was due to a sinus issue. At my insistence, she ordered some bloodwork.
I then called for an appointment with an endocrinologist, and they sent me back to the lab to get my thyroid checked. When I got there, they didn't have any orders, but saw that my other results showed that my thyroid was fine, but that my blood sugar was very low. I'd eaten about an hour before the blood was drawn, so there's some concern.
I'm working on getting an appointment with an endocrinologist, but Dr Google is scaring the crap out of me. The best case that I can find is that I have diabetes, which is extremely unlikely. I'm not overweight, and there's no history in my family. I'm seeing stuff like pancreatic disorders, cancer, etc.
Does anyone have a history with this that is a result of something relatively benign? I just don't want to continue to panic until I can see the doctor...
Thanks!!!
