  If your doctor isn't worried, then you shouldn't be either.  There are probably acceptable limits for each body part.  Obviously not all people have the same sized body parts, and there is naturally some variation in our species.  I would imagine that as long as the measurements fall within an average range, then the doctor wouldn't say anything.  Or if it's slightly outside a normal range, but that particular body part doesn't indicate any other kind of problems (like DS or other issues) then there would be no real reason for concern.

  
  

  Bottom line, most OBs are pretty conservative about this stuff, and if they think a problem is indicated they will usually have you come back in for further ultrasounds to check on things.  If they haven't expressed concern, then you probably have no reason to be worried :-)

  i think you are just reading into it too much. i personally wouldnt be worried but i do remember having some sort of "wonder/thought" about my first childs 20 wk US. if they werent concerned, then id read into that instead! also, what difference would it make. worrying even if they did show concern doesnt make pregnancy easier. just be happy. congrats on the girl!

  All the techs I've had so far tell me a week or two difference is normal and they normally catch up. My last ultrasound I measured 2 days behind. The one done today I was right on point. I wouldn't worry, like PP said, they all grow differently. Just like after birth congrats!

  That's a 6 day difference and possibly less because there's a chance they didn't get every teeny tiny bit of length in their measurement.  It's fine

  I have read somewhere that measurements are pretty uniform up to 12 weeks, then every fetus develops differently. And if there were some concern, doctor would have told you. Which means - don't worry!

  She's certainly a little wriggle monster in there so is obviously happy & healthy! I guess pregnancy & being a mum is just a 24hr 7 day a week worry lol!!

  Are you sure that it is the femur length measurement? I remember looking at the sonogram photos and freaking out over some letters and numbers that just ended up meaning the depth of where the baby was in my womb and the settings the ultrasound technician used with the ultrasound machine.
