Hepa Air Filter

LO has had some form of a nasty cold/bronchitis for awhile now each time we go to the pedi they tell us something new. So far he does breathing treatments twice a day and the humidifier at night. My pedi thinks he may have asthma. He suggested getting a Hepa Air filter they are kinda expensive so does anyone have one they reccommend? If i'm going to spend the money I would rather get a good quality one. Also any suggestions on how to get LO to feel better? Anyone have an asthmatic baby this young?

Re: Hepa Air Filter

  • I got a Honeywell 3-in-1 from Best Buy.  It's regularly $160 but I got it a little cheaper using my husbands discount.  It's energy saving, has that UV-C light thingy, & most importantly the replacement filters are cheap ($11)

@tondraluv do you feel like it really helps?

  • I absolutely feel like it helps.  You can smell the difference & when I turn this on plus the humidifier, it moistens the air way more making it easier to breath.

  • This may be a little out there for you but DoTerra essential oils makes a 'Breath' blend that I have heard works wonders.  A little diluted with a carrier oil on the feet before bed might be something to try as well.

  • I got one off overstock for about 1/2 price so I'd recommend checkin there first. We bought it during my pregnancy because my hormones gave me some crazy allergies.

I liked it except that in the winter it made the room colder because at almost like a fan.
