Welcome to the TTA Check-In!! This check-in is for anyone who is TTA, no matter for how long. The check-in will be posted every Friday. I will be running the check-in for the next 4 weeks until I am off the bench.

If you are new, we are sorry you’re here and we hope your stay is short. We have a variety of wait times so please feel free to join. Post an intro and tell us why you are TTA and for how long. It can be months, waiting on 1st AF, waiting on labs, recovering from surgery, etc. You're more than welcome to join for any reason you are TTA.

Please let me know if you would like to be added or if your information is incorrect. As the months come to an end members will be removed. If your TTA has been extended please let us know.

How is everyone this week? Good - better than I was last week - feeling positive in general now. Not sure what the change was.

What was the high/low of your week? High - doc calling me to tell me that hcg was almost 0; low - doc telling me that I carry a gene for cystic fibrosis

Any TTA-related frustrations? Not on my end as much as DH - he wanted some last weekend but couldn't have any because it was less than 2 weeks after D&C and because I was too lazy to just offer up a bj.

Anything you're looking forward to this weekend or next week? Looking forward to getting a little action this weekend AND to getting stuff done around the house.

QOTW: What are your go-to Stores/Websites for Holiday Shopping? (Bonus points for sharing coupon links) I would have to say that I use Amazon and Kohls as much as possible - Amazon because I am a prime member and love free 2 day shipping. Kohls because I'm a big fan of their return policy.

Thanks @Tappin2B for running the check in! How are you?

I am ok. This week was rough. Work was long and ridiculous, compounded by my wham upside the head grief slap I got this week. Needless to say I am really glad it is Friday. My High this week is getting off early today!! My Low was yesterday. It was such a terrible day and I have never wanted to hide under the covers more than I did yesterday.

TTA related frustrations are the BCP is still driving me insane!! I swear it is making me crazy and KILLING my poor boobs. They are so tender I cant even hug my hubby! It's terrible!

It's the Auburn/Georgia game this weekend. I am nervous hot mess about it but I cant wait to watch it. Hopefully my Tigers will pull out a win and we can move toward Alabama with some confidence.

QOTHW: I actually make most of my presents except for the nieces and nephews, in which case I bargain shop toys.

I'd like to be added please, we are tta just waiting on the first af.

Eta: we lost our daughter Annaleigh October 17th. She was born via c-section at 26weeks and passed away minutes after from trisomy 13.

This week has been so full of up and downs. It's been 4 weeks now. I still just can't believe it.

High point of the week, I have a new babysitting job. Yay for extra money. Low point of the week, being asked if Emmett was my youngest and automatically saying yes. I still feel so guilty about it. Like I denied her that she is the youngest.

Right now the biggest frustration is condoms. I hate them, I'm allergic to latex so we have to use non-latex ones and they suck.

This weekend I'm going to try to build a bookshelf, I found the tutorial online for it. It spells out love. I'm thinking it might be Annaleigh's memorial shelf for her urn and pictures. I'm really excited to make it. Sunday is also what would be her one month birthday if she was here so we are setting up a special Christmas tree for her.

My favorite store to shop for holiday decorations is hobby lobby I love when they have a good sale and leave with an ungodly amount of stuff. For presents I almost always get everything from Amazon. This year for Dh and the parents we are sticking to second hand stores. I'm actually really excited to try to find some treasures and make gifts!

Glad you are doing better this week. It does feel weird when you start feeling positive again. You don't think it's possible and it just happens.

How is everyone this week? I'm ok. I haven't been as depressed this week as I have been. I've been keeping busy and trying to keep myself distracted. It is hard though with one since my Fb friends is due on the EDD of my first loss and she keeps posting things about how big her belly is already and all that jazz. What was the high/low of your week? Hugh: today I bought my own Christmas present from DH... A KitchenAid Stand Mixer! I'm too excited. Low: the petty fight I had with DH over nothing yesterday. We were both in a grouchy mood. Any TTA-related frustrations? No sign of AF, but there is some mild cramping. Also Still waiting on results from my bloodwork, unfortunately. If I haven't heard by 1 I'm calling them because she told me within a week. Anything you're looking forward to this weekend or next week? Just getting more and more of my projects done. I am super excited to be picking up my Christmas present today even though DH said I can't use it yet. I'm getting a KitchenAid Stand Mixer! Which is great because my cheaper mixer I think is developing so e problems, it smells bad when I turn it on now. QOTW: What are your go-to Stores/Websites for Holiday Shopping? A lot of times we answer those hard questions based on who is asking. ((HUGS)) It's definitely hard and there is no right or wrong.

Hi Ladies, I have intro'd on a few boards, but was suggested to come hang with you ladies as well... so here I am! long story short, my husband and I just had our first pregnancy followed by first loss at 10.5 weeks. My D&C was on Tuesday, and everything went really well (well... except for the part where apparently I woke up...). I have had no bleeding since Tuesday, minimal spotting and cramping... and now I wait... So here I am in the undetermined wait for AF. Once she shows herself my OB said we will wait for one more cycle then we are good to go. I am hopeful and ready to move forward.

What was the high/low of your week? Feeling better after the D&C Tuesday... I felt emotionally better when I woke up... Like I could finally think about my next steps

Any TTA-related frustrations? the uncertainty of time! I am a planner... and have issues when I cant make plans for things!

Anything you're looking forward to this weekend or next week? LAST full week with students before Thanksgiving Break. We have a much needed vacation to Houston (where I am from) for Thanksgiving.

I'm also going to go ahead and "graduate". I haven't gotten AF since my m/c, but a phone call to my OB cleared me to just go ahead and not try to prevent anymore.

I just realized I never posted my update...haha

What was the high/low of your week?

High- Was able to meet up with some friends that I used to work with, it had been about 6 months since the last time I saw some of them. Went to dinner at this hole in the wall sandwich place that I love and haven't been to in forever. Then we went for a few drinks after. It was awesome.

I don't think I had a low. I can't think of anything right now.

Any TTA-related frustrations? AF finally showed up a few days ago..31 days after the last one. That's not really a big deal. It just hasn't been that late in years. I know my body is still adjusting.

Anything you're looking forward to this weekend or next week?

We are planning to get a big project done this weekend if we can. We are pulling up the old rotten deck in our backyard. The weather is supposed to be nice. At some point we are going over to DH's brothers house to pick up the rest of our stuff that he has been storing in his basement for us. Tomorrow night we are getting together with DH's side to celebrate his sister's birthday.

Kohls because they always have sales and coupons. Amazon because they always have good prices and a cheap minimum for free shipping (even though they raised it to $35, it's still a good deal)

@ashtonblair123 LOVE LOVE LOVE my Kitchenaid - and you should totally tell your DH that you will make him holiday treats if you get to use it beforehand. Last year I made over a 100 dozen cookies with my Kitchenaid.

@jlwordern710 not having a plan freaks me out as well - I like to at least have a timeline of when I can be disappointed LOL

@stasi YAY! congrats! When I went to see my OB, I thought he was going to tell me 3 cycles - b/c that is his standard - but when he said 1, I was so excited that I forgot to negotiate for sooner LOL

@tappin2b Good luck with the deck work this weekend. DH and I made our deck repairs into a 2 year project - we have to complete it this spring.

How is everyone this week? It's been a difficult week. Hope you ladies are doing well

What was the high/low of your week? Low, missing my daughter. With the holidays approaching I'm struggling with my grief. Yesterday we went to visit her grave and I sobbed. I miss her so much. High...people reaching out to me who have had losses or can't have children. I've had a few coworkers talk to me, as well as a friend refer someone to chat with me who just lost their infant son. I like that people are seeking me out for comfort and support.

Any TTA-related frustrations? Not really. I'm almost halfway done my benching!! yay! Trying to stay positive...

Anything you're looking forward to this weekend or next week? Not really. I'm looking forward to thanksgiving for the food, but it will be hard.

Hi everyone.

Been busy this week, we are having Colton's memorial on Sunday as well as running in a 5k in his honor that day, so I've spent the week getting ready, finalizing plans.

High - I put together a little memorial wall in the house for Colton, framed his footprints, lock of hair, a pregnancy photo, etc. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Low - putting all the old guest room furniture back in Colton's nursery. We have a lot of people staying with us this weekend for the memorial so it needed to be done, we need to use the room, but it was hard to do.

TTA frustrations - not really

QOTW - I love target. Amazon is also a favorite.

I had my D&C follow up appointment yesterday. They told me I could start trying again now if I wanted, but that it could cause issues with trying to date a pregnancy. I'm not sure I'm on board with this plan. My husband and I are still discussing, but I think we are leaning towards waiting until after my 1st AF like the original plan. I am concerned about being fully healed physically and I think we might both need a little more time emotionally.

Low: Sitting in the waiting room at the midwife's office waiting for my appointment. I was beginning to hyperventilate and got worried I was going to have a full on panic attack (I have a history of them). Luckily they got me back before that happened.

High: I got to use the fireplace in my house for the first time. We moved in here in May. It turns on with a light switch! It rocks my world!

TTA Frustrations: Being told I could start TTC but thinking I might still need more time is a hard place to be.

No big plans this weekend.

QOTW: I shop all over the internet. I actually like some the black Friday deals you find on Walmart's website. Amazon is always on my shopping list.

@megrae12 I'm sorry you having so many bad side effects from the BCP. I hope they subside for you.

I've actually got a few minutes tonight to check up on everyone. Usually I can only skim through as I'm nursing ds to sleep but he's playing on his own now. Yup I've burned my bench, I'm just waiting on DH. he's been laid up at home with his hurt ankle so its been stressful not having alone time. And not having much help with chores.

Got my results this week. The doctor said the chromosomes looked normal and it was a female. She gave us the green light to try again.

It was like a slap in the face again. I was doing so well processing this miscarriage. I was handling it. This made me break down all over again. I think it just made it even more real.

So after a few long conversations with my husband we have decided to try again. My current cycle is all kinds of wacky still so I'm not too hopeful right now. Good luck to each of you here I hope you can get off the bench soon.

@peggles24 I too am a carrier. I didn't expect it either since no one in my family has it. Have they tested your husband?

I'm feeling really bummed. I only log in every few days, and it just hit me that I'm part of way too many freakin checkins, and it makes me sad. I have a May due date, and October due date (twins), I'm AMA, I'm TTA, I'm a lady in waiting... It's making me sad. I love all of you but (1) I can hardly keep up and (2) It's making me feel like I have more issues than ever.

Anyway, I'm waiting till my first appointment with RE (next week!) to find out what if anything we should do about the huge fibroid that seems to be causing repeat loss. OB won't do anything because of the risk, and I'm getting a second opinion. I'm TTA until we get the go ahead from RE, which will hopefully be soon. I finally got AF after my October m/c, so that's good!

Anyway, that's me.

As for shopping, I LOVE outlets (Banana Republic and Williams Sonoma especially) and TARGET!

@kate6214 DH is getting tested early December. Part of me almost doesn't want him too because then we have to decide if we want to risk it and it is almost worse knowing the risk then assuming there is nothing to worry about.

What was the high/low of your week? Low, missing my daughter. With the holidays approaching I'm struggling with my grief. Yesterday we went to visit her grave and I sobbed. I miss her so much. High...people reaching out to me who have had losses or can't have children. I've had a few coworkers talk to me, as well as a friend refer someone to chat with me who just lost their infant son. I like that people are seeking me out for comfort and support.

Any TTA-related frustrations? Not really. I'm almost halfway done my benching!! yay! Trying to stay positive...

Anything you're looking forward to this weekend or next week? Not really. I'm looking forward to thanksgiving for the food, but it will be hard.

QOTW: What are your go-to Stores/Websites for Holiday Shopping? (Bonus points for sharing coupon links) Hmm. I usually do amazon.

I went back to work. It was really hard. I cried and wanted to leave early most days but I stuck it out until at least 4 every day. I've cried a lot.

Low - Wednesday I just cried all day. I cried in the office, I cried when I got home, I just sobbed all night long.
High - one of the sites I run was being investigated by the state because of a complaint. We passed with flying colors and the complaint was said to have no merit!

Any TTA-related frustrations?
I just want it to be January. We are thinking of maybe even NTNP in December. Not really trying but not being super proactive at preventing either. The only reason we were NTNP was because of my work anyway, health wise I'm fine. And work would deal with it. Life's too short.

Anything you're looking forward to this weekend or next week?
Just the fact that it's the weekend.

I really hate shopping mostly I make my husband do it.

Low - putting all the old guest room furniture back in Colton's nursery. I had my D&C follow up appointment yesterday. They told me I could start trying again now if I wanted, but that it could cause issues with trying to date a pregnancy. I'm not sure I'm on board with this plan. My husband and I are still discussing, but I think we are leaning towards waiting until after my 1st AF like the original plan. Low: Sitting in the waiting room at the midwife's office waiting for my appointment. I was beginning to hyperventilate and got worried I was going to have a full on panic attack (I have a history of them). Luckily they got me back before that happened.

High: I got to use the fireplace in my house for the first time. We moved in here in May. It turns on with a light switch! It rocks my world!

TTA Frustrations: Being told I could start TTC but thinking I might still need more time is a hard place to be.

No big plans this weekend.

QOTW: I shop all over the internet. I actually like some the black Friday deals you find on Walmart's website. Amazon is always on my shopping list.

@TXSparky I think waiting until AF returns is a good plan. I am glad you were able to avoid a panic attack at your appointment...its hard to stop them when you can feel it coming.
