Dry Hands

With discovery of hands comes sucking and with so much sucking his hands are starting to look dry. Any tips? Do you just do lotion at night so they don't suck it off?

Even if they get cracked and bloody?
  • Well I certainly wouldn't put lotion on bloody hands. That shit burns.

If they're seriously that bad I'd cover them so LO can't suck on them and make them worse.

Good point didn't think about the burn. They aren't that bad yet but I can see it coming with winter. Thanks!
  • Coconut oil works great for my LO's dry skin. Might be worth looking into.

  • I use coconut oil too. Love the way he smells after using it!

We just get it at the grocery store. I get the organic stuff, but I'm sure it doesn't make much of a difference. It was in the cooking section with all the other oils and baking stuff.
It comes as a solid, you just scrape some off and hold it. It will turn into liquid in your hands and you can just rub in on your LO. I absolutely LOVE it. Got rid of LO's cradle cap in 2 days.
