Waking earlier and earlier?

Before the time change DS was waking around 6:30/7:00, sometimes 7:30/8:00. For the last week he's been up at 5/5:30. That's generally earlier than he was even waking before we changed the clocks. While getting up that early for us sucks I'd be more ok with it if he wasn't waking up still completely exhausted. He wakes up crying and when we pick him up he just collapses against us trying to go back to sleep. We've put him to bed earlier, later...still up at 5/5:30 screaming and crying. We've tried leaving him to see if he will eventually go back to sleep...he just screams louder and louder. I have no idea how to get him to start sleeping later again. He's only getting on average 9 hours of sleep a night.

Re: Waking earlier and earlier?

  • My LO has done this a few times over the last few months. It's lasted about a week and then he goes back to normal. I don't understand it but it should just be a phase.
