My little Em is burning up with his first fever. He is crying inconsolably and just looking at me so miserably. I would give anything to be able to make him feel better, even for just a minute. I feel like my heart is breaking for him :-(
I'm sorry, that's tough, I hope he gets feeling better soon! Do you have some baby Tylenol?
We just gave him some Tylenol so hopefully it helps bring the fever down a little bit. We were going to give him a lukewarm bath but he fell asleep in my arms in the middle of screaming. Thanks ladies for the encouragement. I never realized how horrible it would be to watch my little guy so miserable and not be able to do anything about it.
I feel your pain! Adrian got a fever from one of our friend's baby a few months ago. It was scary because it happened in the night and I ciulsbt get it down. I ended up having to take him to the ER and DH was gone. Thankfully my sister was here to go with me. Hope he wakes up feeling better!
It's the worst feeling watching your child be sick I'm sorry and hope it passes soon! Fever reducer and cool washcloth on the head and neck will help bring it down.
Sorry! I dealt with this last week I agree Tylenol and put a washcloth in the freezer and then let it kinda hard and then let them chew on it. This helped my LO and he loved chewing on the washcloth!
Question for all: at what temp do you reach for the Tylenol? My pedi believes in letting a fever do its job without letting it get dangerously high. Medically that makes a lot of sense but I can only imagine seeing M in pain/discomfort and not dosing him immediately.
Turns out that he has an ear infection on top of the congestion and cough that he's had for over a month. He's starting antibiotics today so hopefully he'll feel much better soon!!
