PIO...my nemisis

So, I am 8w5d and counting down til the last PIO shot, it honestly cant come soon enough. 

First I had a major allergic reaction to PIO - Sesame, then transferred to PIO-Ethyl Oleate only to call in the refill and have the pharmacist tell me they are no longer compounding and have to get it somewhere else - and discovered that one of the vials they sent me wasnt PIO-Ethyl Oleate - but actually was in Sesame....(WTF Quality Control much???) 
Then, local CVS pharmacy says they can get PIO_EO with advance notice - they cant.  They filled it with Sesame....Requiring a RUSH order from a 4th pharmacy - the new PIO burns like $%^&&**....fine...I can deal with that...greater good and all...

Today, I call in what should be my last refill because I'm supposed to stop it at 10 weeks - and while looking at the vile for the script number realize there is stuff floating around in the vile.  Um....that's not good.  After hours call between Doc & Pharmacist....decides to switch to Crinone tonight and overnight freshly compounded PIO-EO for delivery tomorrow....

Sigh....Just a few more days now til all that mess is over with!  My poor back side is lumpy and bumpy and covered in purple bruises and red welts from that awful stuff. 

But I swear, I'd do it all again.  Its worth it for that teeny tiny heart beating in my belly.

10/7 - +HPT - Beta #1 10/10 - 72, Beta#2 10/14 - 518,Harmony 21 @ 12 weeks shows one very healthy little BOY!!

    I think it's totally okay to be grateful and happy about baby in the belly, and totally annoyed and fed up with the PIO shots in the butt!

    I am counting down the days too... only 2 1/2 more weeks for me! Woohoo! Sorry you had such a PITA getting your meds!

    The last day of PIO was a great day, congrats on your upcoming last day!!!

    Wow that is ridiculous what you have been through with pio! Thank goodness you are almost done!

    Lucky! I have to continue my shots until I am almost finished with my 12th week! 15 more to go....

    I am sorry you have had so much trouble with it tho. You are almost done!
