Two Thing Tuesday

1. Tell me a weird/cool/funny fact about yourself. 2. What is the most fun thing you've done with your LO/LO's

Re: Two Thing Tuesday

  • 1. This is neither weird nor funny, but I think it's cool. My mother was not born in the US, so from her side I am a first generation American. My father's family, on the other hand, came to the US in the early 1600's. I love that my heritage is so different on each side.

    2. The most fun thing we've done with our DS is probably taking him to the beach. He is just in love with the water, especially when we took him in the ocean when our cruise ship stopped in Puerto Vallarta this past spring.

  • 1. This is pretty weird, when I was younger I could do pretty good impressions of people. Like pee wee herman and jim carrey from Ace Ventura. My sisters still try to make me do them and it's not happening!

    2. Probably taking him to the Children's Museum, he runs all over and has a blast every time! Can't wait to take him to Disneyland next year!

  • 1. My parents hung an incentive over us kids. If you don't smoke or drink until your 21st birthday, we would get $500. My brother and I (kids #3 and 4) made it and got 5 100 dollar bills on our birthdays! To this day, I have never tried smoking and probably never will. We were always in the minority, around here underage drinking is pretty huge. 2. Not a whole lot of fun stuff for DS, going swimming is a big deal though!
  • 1. One of my jobs in high school and college was being a costumed character at an amusement park (ie. Scooby Doo, Jabber Jaws, etc).  One of the most fun jobs I had - you worked for a 1/2 hour and then sat for a 1/2 hour and got paid for the full hour.  Plus if it rained, you couldn't go out and still got paid :)

    2. Going to France!  We went to a lot of places and even Disneyland Paris.  Plus while he was there he got to see family that lives in England and Singapore, so it was nice having the kids meet family members from all over the world.

Wow, what a cool experience! Did your parents work there? Do you have any memories of that time?
