Hungry at night

My baby USED to Sttn. Up until the beginning of Oct when he began getting sick. He got one thing after another ......ear infection, sinus infection, upper respiratory infection, ear infection again,and then strep throat. Now that all seems to be behind us.....fingers crossed. But, he still wakes up once every night to eat. He is hungry! He eats 6 oz of formula per feeding and is eating solids 2-3x a day. I tried to up his formula intake to 7 oz., sometimes he will drink it and others not...but still waking in the night hungry. Any advice? Are your LOs waking hungry?

    Poor baby :(! Yes my LO wakes up at least twice starving despite how many solids he gets during the day. It could just be a growth spurt or the fact that our babies are more active now. But yes, you are not alone.

    Yes, it has been a rough month and a half...the joys of daycare. Weird thing is that he was fine at daycare for 3 months...as soon as I stop breastfeeding...he gets sick!

    Yep there are some nights where my LO wakes up and he is just plain hungry. Sometimes I chalk it up to being a growth spurt, others I just figure he's hungry. Babies are constantly changing and growing so it doesn't bother me.

    My DD wakes up in the middle of the night about 40% of the time. I usually feed her because I feel guilty that she might be hungry. I have no idea if she is or not. As I have mentioned before she is only 5-10th percentile for weight (she used to be in the 50th, dropped to 25th, then dropped again) so I am overly cautious about her getting enough to eat. I think its pretty normal. I would agree with PP that "babies are constantly changing and growing". There is no norm in babyland!

    My LO eats normally twice a night 1:30am and then again at 4:30am. She is EBF and I read that is normal until 1 year. If she is hungry I want to feed her :)

    My kids both eat several times at night. They eat A LOT! Their ped says that's normal through 9 months. I'm hoping they STTN soon, but I'm not holding my breath!

    My EBF baby still wakes up at least once at night to eat (sometimes twice, but the last few days it has been only once, yay!). Last night he actually slept 8 hours before waking up, which was awesome, but my boobs woke me up about 15 min before that because they were very full and not happy at all. I was just pumping some off when he woke up.
