  I make a shortbread sandwich cookie that gets raspberry jam in the middle and then the ends (they are rectangles) are dipped in chocolate and chocolate sprinkles...they are always the first to go!

  Sugar cookies are our family tradition--my mom and I still try to bake and decorate them together.  But I actually don't really like how they taste!

  
  

  My favorites are this chocolate-mint thing--a brownie cookie with peppermint frosting.  Nom.

  My Mom makes these amazing chocolate cookies at Christmas. We call the grandma'c chocolate cookies (not sure what they are really called). I also love the peanut butter w/hershey kisses.

  Haven't read the others, but mine would be: Shortbread with nutella in-between two layers, and chocolate buttercream thumbprints. Yum!

  Last year I started a 12 Days of Christmas Cookies tradition, and starting dec 1st I bake a new cookie every other day until Christmas. It sounds overwhelming but I loved it and can't wait to start this years! ANYWAY last year I found a recipe for Browned Butter Nutella Stuffed chocolate Chip Cookies and I now have requests from like 10 different people at least once a month wanting them. Freakin. Delicious. So, not a traditional Christmas cookie, but a staple in our house now!

  Spritz cookies are always my Christmas cookie. DH's are star cookies which are the peanut butter cookies with Brachs stars instead of Hershey kisses, and they MUST be Brachs stars, lol.
  Also, not a cookie, but almond bark coated pretzels are always a must at Christmas!
