Granted, I never had a doll when I was a kid, but I bought myself Kirsten before she was retired because I coveted her for yeaaaaars.

    I visited the store in Chicago a few years ago and wept. No joke. The funny thing is, the dolls cost about the same now as they did when we were little!

    I was sooo into the American Girls! I had all the books, was in the American Girls "club", got the magazine, I had the sleeping bag, everything! Dolls wise, I had Samantha and one of the make your own dolls. I liked Samantha because he had brown hair and brown eyes, just like me. I remember flipping through the catalogs and wanting everything!
