Anyone Else Obsessively Take HPTs?

Is anyone else obessively taking pregnancy tests? I've taken four now and planning on running by the drug store to buy some more to get me through this week. It's like forget the puking, sore boobs, insane sense of smell and 4 positive pregancy tests I convince myself I'm making this up in my head. I did this with my daughter too.

Anyone else prone to this or am I a weirdo alone?

I've taken 4 this week so far. I'll probably buy cheapies and keep doing it for awhile, since I don't have an appt for weeks.

The $1 stores will have them, and I think most Walmarts have .88 cent ones!

I already spent $17 on four tests, so I def need to take a trip to the dollar store soon, lol.

I have a question...do you just check for line color as this point? I thought that even if you had a chemical or miscarriage you would still show positive til it was back to normal?

I have been checking the line color. The first one I took I was like 3 weeks and 3 days and it was a faint line then I took another the next morning and it was a little darker and then I took one at 3w6d and it was markedly darker then again at 4w1d and it was darker still.

At some point I imagine the line will stop getting darker! Hopefully by then I will have had my first u/s and a heartbeat.

I had one left and I took it yesterday morning. Of course, my two year old walked in the bathroom. "Hey, mom, whatcha doing? What is that? Whatcha doing with that?" He's Mr. Running Commentary on life these days.

I've stopped now, but I'm over 7 weeks. I did take 10, though $:\$ "> No lie. I have no idea why so many. I just liked seeing the lines and the words.

I did another one yesterday (6 total). Target had FRER's on sale & I had a coupon. My symptoms are so light that it made me feel better to see the (much darker) pink lines. I know that I'm 5 days late and I know that I've already gotten positive hpt's but it still made me relax to take another. I may use the last one at the end of the week. My 1st DR's appointment is next week. I hope I feel more secure after that.

I took about 10. I took a wondfo last night and it was darker than a few days ago. I figure there's nothing I can do at this point and my appt isn't until Dec 19.

Totally obsessed. I took two before I got my BFP, and since the first BFP I have taken 6. I was suppsed to start AF today, so I need the reminder that it is real and true. I have obsessively been ttc for 13 months, and I am 41 so it is like winning the lottery (even though it's my 4th)...

I took one about a week before I got a BFP. I took 3 the day I found out and took one more the day before my 1st appt to confirm at 5w5d. I am scheduled to have my first official appt. next Tues. and will probably take at least one more...I just couldn't believe it!

I just took my fourth one. I'm overly excited to see a positive on a HPT because I never had one with DS. So now I'm obsessed with taking them. The most recent one was one of those clear blue advanced ones that tells you how many weeks along you are.

I took like 3 or 4 two days ago, and yesterday took 3. I still don't believe it though even though I already feel like crap. Took another this morning, too! You're definitely not weird though.

Oh man this thread makes me feel so much better! I've taken 6 so far and thought I was a tad obsessed. I told my OB I had taken five when I saw him and he stopped what he was doing to look at me and say "Five?!" What can I say, I love that blue plus sign! I just did my 6th yesterday so that I could take the paper out for the baby's pregnancy journal.

I had to buy a digital for DH to believe it and picked up one that says how many weeks. Pretty cool.

I took two of the FRER's, one the day I got a BFP and one the next day. I've been using up my Wondfo's since then. I have like 40 of them, so I figured I'd use them up. The line keeps getting darker but isnt quite the same color as the control line. Once I get my HCG back tomorrow though I will probably stop testing, whether its good news or bad.

yes!!! Glad its not just me. I need to show this to the boyfriend to prove it to him. lol. Luckily our dollar tree doesnt lock up tests... in fact neither does the 99 cent store. I also took the walmart 88 cents test.. that was nice and dark early on so made me feel better. Oh and I bought a 2 pack of the target ones (only like $5 for 2) and I bought a 2 pack of the clearblue digital with the weeks as well. On sunday it said 1-2 weeks.... going to take another next Sunday... it better say 2-3 weeks or I'm going to go nuts. HAHA. My dr wont give me a repeat beta, my beta was SUPER low last time, and I'm cramping.. this just keeps me relaxed and excited . In total I've probably taken 8 and have 3 more in case I "need" to take one... I havent taken one today... doing much better, but the test lines were so dark yesterday that it just made me feel better today

I just took #4 today. I wasn't happy that the line was actually the same/lighter, but I had literally just downed a glass of water so I'm thinking it was diluted. FTR, DH thinks I'm losing it.

Look how much darker my wondfo is getting. The right was 2 days ago at 10 DPO and the left is this morning!!

Me!! It's the only way I keep sane. I have hardly any symptoms so if it wasn't for the tests and my missed period, I wouldn't think I was preggo. And I like seeing the lines get darker. The first day I tested and got a bfp, the line was so faint. Now a week and a half later the line is as dark as the control line. My first appt is on Wednesday. Can't wait for them to really confirm it!
