When did cord stump fall off?

When did your baby's cord stump fall off? I was looking through my discharge papers and it says between 3-5 days, however, DD's is still attached. Is 6 days longer than average?

Not until the end of the second week beginning of the third week. And the belly button was still moist and needed alcohol to dry it out.

my dd's came off at nine days and I thought that was early. my discharge papers said two weeks or so.

My ds still has his, and we've used alcohol pads everyday per his pedi.

I was always told 2-3 weeks average.

I hope so - DD's is still?attached?(although it looked like it was starting to detach today)?

My son's didn't fall off until yesterday (3 weeks, 1day). I was nervous that it wasn't going to come off on its own, but my pediatrician wasn't concerned and said that it could take as long as 3-5 weeks.

We never put anything on it, just kept it dry as we were instructed.

My DD's was still holding on at her one month appointment! It was so gross, and her doctor ended up using silver nitrate on it. It fell off the next day.

DS had his fall off at 2 weeks, 3 days, although it was just hanging by a thread the last 2 or 3 days.

My first son's fell off at 6 weeks, my second son's fell off at 2 months, 3 days. Yep, they were REALLY attached to mom.

They say not to worry unless it takes longer than 2 months. My second had to have a lot of bloodwork to make sure his immune system was functioning properly, but he seems to be fine.
