what do you wear with navy dress slacks?

Found a pair that fit perfectly at Ann Taylor (first time shopper on vacation). I have "bone" colored high heels but need an idea for a top.

ETA: do you treat navy as a color or neutral?

I usually wear black or gray with my jeans. I suck at fashion. I was so thankful for the sales associate to put together 2 other outfits for me!

Generally, I consider it a neutral. But in the same way I consider brown a neutral--some colors just won't look quite right.

Can't go wrong with a crisp, white button down shirt. I also really like navy with bright florals (pretty, not old lady florals). Lighter greys would definitely work.

Cream, tan, maroon, a pretty light green, or yellows. Pattern shirts are pretty. I am a fan of the button down shirts, too.

I personally would wear navy with anything besides black. I know some say black is fine with navy but I do not like the way it looks together. Pink and yellow are my two favorite colors to wear with navy. In fact, I am wearing a navy and white dress with a hot pink cardigan and nude heels to a day time wedding this weekend.
