I need help. There is just too much information out there. Please point me a good direction.
LO slept great for about a month in her crib in her room. Then the nightly wake ups took over. And it got near impossible to get her down. So we did CIO with going in and rubbing her back at intervals. After a week it seemed to help. And worked for two weeks. Now the last three nights she screams bloody murder anytime we are in her room and after two hours of interval checks still screaming. I gave in and brought her to our bed we didn't even cosleep when she was newborn.
I feel like I created a sleep monster.
And here is the kicker. She will still take her morning nap in her crib for DH if I'm at work. When we are both home she just clings to me. He works swing so I'm on my own at night.
Suggestions please... We can't keep cosleeping.
Any books or resources that you would recommend?
Thanks
Re: Sleep help
Unfortunately we are in the same situation. It's frustrating because she slept in her crib just fine for so long but now wails when I put her down. We've been cosleeping for the last couple of weeks just because nothing else works. My back and shoulders won't be able to take it much longer.
But like yours, my baby is incredibly clingy to me. If I'm at home I have to be with her or else she gets really upset. If I'm not with her it's not a problem. Maybe it is separation anxierty? Whatever it is, it's exhausting.
Hope it gets better for you soon! If you find any magic tricks let me know ;-)
We do have a video monitor. I just feel guilty if I don't go check on her but it does make it worse. So we will see what tonight brings....
