I asked you if you wanted to watch the kids any of these next three Saturdays since I have commitments on all three of them. I wanted to give you the opportunity to pick which one worked better for you if you wanted to watch them anytime in the next month. You responded with, I really have to clean my house. How the F am I the bitch when I tell you later no worries, SIL is more than happy to watch the kids all three nights for us, so you will have plenty of time to clean your house.
Ok, so maybe I was a tad harsh, but had I not asked you first, I would have had to listen to you whine about how I never let you babysit. When I ask if you want to babysit, you blow me off and make it sound like this huge inconvience. I don't care if you don't want to babysit! But for God sake, just say you don't want to and stop giving me a hard time when I ask and an even harder time when I don't.
For the record, you have watched them a whole two times this past year, so if you are feeling taken advantage of, sorry not sorry.
Next time you ask me if I can come over bc you want to see the kids, my new excuse will be, no, I need to wash my hair.
I am counting down the days until we go on our little weekend getaway. You, me, beautiful scenery and yummy food. No one to bother us. A big fire in the fireplace. Can't wait.
--Your wife who can't wait to spend uninterrupted time with you
Dear Saturday--
Come quickly. DH and I need some time alone and some rest.
Why is it that you always leave me feeling more tired and frazzled than I was before I left? And why can I never get you out of my mind?? You are a drug. And I am anxiously awaiting another fix, only a couple days after the fact.
I know your ears hurt and I feel really bad for you. But throwing yourself on the floor and crying for hours will not help. You are 28lbs and super heavy, we need to put you down at some point.
Signed - your mom, who could not wait to come to work for once!
Enough. Enough with the dizzy spells, the headaches, the hair loss, the fatigue. I'm trying to take care of you. I go to bed as early as I can. I've been working out for the past month. I'm trying to eat well. But the scale isn't moving and I feel like garbage 90% of the time. So just settle down and go back to normal, mmmkay?
Dear Nurse Practitioner -
I'm eating enough. I swear. I feel like I'm eating all the time, in fact. I really don't think the answer to ending the dizziness is more carbs. 45 mins before I saw you, I ate an english muffin with peanut butter, and sat through 3 dizzy episodes during our visit. Thank you for finally agreeing to blood work. I'm not seeing you again.
Thank you for taking care of DS suddenly when we pulled him out of daycare--we all love you very much. However, we have found one of the best day cares in the area for DS with immediate openings. So your time "babysitting" DS is ending. This does not mean you can still watch him 1 day/week and I don't appreciate trying to convice DH that you need to "take DS out" and have that time. We have agreed daycare is what is happening so please BACK OFF!! You are the grandma--not the second mother or the nanny.
@mae0111 - Have you had your thyroid checked? I suffer from Grave's disease and had my thyroid removed and those are definite symptoms!
I did ask for blood work today. Last time I had it checked (back in May, about 2 months postpartum) I was in the normal range, but barely. I honestly can't remember if I was on the high or low end at this point, but I definitely remember thinking that I was on the edge.
Thank you... I'm going to push it if there's no resolution soon...
Dear baby boy- these are the mistakes we made with you that we won't repeat with your way in the future brother or sister: -Buying infant sized Toms. They were so cute and the only thing that got me through the 3rd tri, but what a joke and complete waste of $30. You can't wear shoes on your tiny square feet. -Not realizing you had reflux for the first 3 weeks of your life. I thought crying meant hungry or tired. Sorry - trying to squeeze you into those 0-3 month sized baby gap jeans when I was wearing sweatpants and stretchy maternity jeans myself -trying to take you to church at week 4. None of us were prepared for that! - not doing enough to prevent wet, cold dog nose from coming in contact with your ear while you're peacefully napping or nursing - and lastly, laughing when you pull away while nursing and milk sprays you in the face.
