Is it over? XP from mc

I'm impatient waiting for answers on the mc board, especially since today was my 2nd day of a new job, I really want to know what to expect in the next few days to try to be somewhat prepared. And unfortunately I know a lot of our Aug12 moms have been through this before. (THANK GOD this didn't start really getting into it until I got home.) Thanks in advance for any insight!

Copy/paste of my post:

On Halloween, we found out there was no more heartbeat (should have been 9.5 weeks). A few days later, I started spotting and light bleeding. The past couple days I've had a little more bleeding. Today in the afternoon, I started having light cramps/contractions and passing clots. By the time I got home, they were getting pretty bad, and turned into how I felt when we were checking into the hospital to give birth to my son. They got fairly intense, I did a lot of rocking back and forth, tapping on stuff, etc. to deal with them. Had lots of big clots. I was starting to regret my decision to wait for nature to take it's course because it was getting quite uncomfortable.

Then finally, I think it was the placenta that came out. (TMI, it looked really nasty.) Cramps and contractions suddenly stopped.

So is it over with? I expect I'll have a little more bleeding for a few days, but is "the event" over?

  • I don't have an answer to your question but I just wanted to say I'm so sorry for your loss.

The waves of cramping should slow to a stop, and then you will probably bleed off and on for the length of a period (or so went my mmc) is your ob/gyn following your hcg levels back to 0? They did with me because it could be a sign of retained tissue if it doesn't go back down all the way or if you spike a fever. Again I am sorry for your loss. Please take the time you need, and if I can help please let me know.
