LO is 10 weeks old today and she is so much more aware of her surroundings and seems like she's trying to "play". So far we've been putting her on her play mat which has a dangling mirror, ball/rattle thing, and a butterfly rattle thing. We also prop her up on the boppy and make faces and noises with her and read to her. I was thinking about getting her the kicking piano thing, too. Have you started introducing toys? What kinds? Any must-haves?

We have the kick and play piano and ds seems to be enjoying it. I like that it can be changed around as they get bigger so can be used for awhile. With ds1 we had this roll along snail which had a mirror and played music. As he got bigger he could push it and it rolls along. I think now they make it on different animals

We also have the kick and play piano. My dd LOVES it! She is 8 wks and she smiles and laughs when she is playing with it. Like PP said, it is very versatile as the piano flips around when LO gets older. I recommend it. I am also looking for other toy ideas.

Right now we just have the play mat. DS LOVES it. He will lay there and talk to himself in the mirror or he smiles and laughs at an octopus that hangs down. He doesn't have many toys besides those yet, but he will get a lot for Christmas.

I will also jump on the piano bandwagon. DS is 6 wks and lovesss to kick and look at himself. Very glad I a play mat with something he can use his feet for and that he'll grow with. I'm curious to see what others suggest as well.

Another kick and play piano vote here. Xander loves it. For about 15 to 30 minutes at a time he is thoroughly entertained. He will be 8 weeks on Thursday

I'm glad to see so many good reviews for the piano. DH is super skeptical that a baby her age would "get it" but I think she would like it! We live in a small apartment and going to try to keep her toys to a minimum, so it's important to me that what we have she loves!

Mine LOVES puppets. I have a little puppet bear and my DS will just smile and laugh at it. It is so cute.

We also have the snail but DS doesn't pay much attention to it yet. I think he will grow to love it though!
