Also...found out the sexes...and a question

....got the call this morning from my genetics counselor that 1) most importantly both babies are healthy with no chromosomal defects. We also found out that both babies are boys!!!!! I'm in complete shock. I totally didn't expect that...not my gut...but so exciting nonetheless. It's a bit overwhelming, but hopefully they'll love having each other.

So the twins are di/di and both my OB and the MFM have said that does not guarantee that they are fraternal, but it is more likely. Did anyone have ID di/di babies? I didn't ask this morning, but just emailed the genetics counselor to see if the CVS results show whether or not their ID. I suspect not because I did IUI and more than one almost mature egg, but I guess it's always a possibility.

Now to start thinking of boys names.

    My di/di boys are fraternal.

    My IDs were mo/di, but there are a few ladies on here (@BabyCarryingVessel, @BananaPancake, @JordynLeighx3 .....anyone else?) who had di/di IDs, so it's definitely not unheard of!

    Congrats on Team Blue! Twin boys are awesome! :)

    According to my OB they would be Di/Di IDs but they were definitely Mo/di and everyone here believes they were mo/di

    Mine are di/di and we will be sending out for a test to confirm if ID or not. But we are guessing they are ID. I have friends from my MoMs group that had ID didi twins.
    They're 4 mos and seem to be looking more and more the same.

    THanks ladies. The geneticist said the CVS results wouldn't show the results. I have no reason to know other than sheer curiosity now that they're both boys. If they look alike, maybe we'll send out for a test. My husband is latino and I'm white - DD Is very white, blonde, blue eyes, and we've been joking that one of the boys will look like her (blonde/blue eyes) and one will be dark like DH's family (dark skin, dark hair and eyes). What a trip that would be. 

    I'm getting more excited for the boys to grow up together. I admit I was so overwhelmed and it wasn't what I was expecting that I was almost upset...but feeling so much more excited now.

    If I remember correctly, about 15% of IDs are Di/Di.
