Preemie Awareness Month...

Well being a FTM and having a preemie I had no idea that November was Preemie Awareness Month and that the 17th was World Prematurity Day. I just liked the Preemie Support and Awareness page on Facebook and everyone is making collages for this month.Also didn't know that purple ribbons were for preemies either!  Anywho, I just wanted to share this little factoid in case anyone else didn't know! And also share my little collage :). Sorry if this has already been stated before lol.

    Yeah buddy! I knew this. Go preemies! They get there own month. I don't see "full term" baby month anywhere so psshhh to them. :-)

    I just ordered a "Hugs Help" Tshirt from the march of dimes to promote kangaroo care :) Proceeds go to MOD!

    Thanks for sharing! I didn't know it was Preemie Awareness Month or that the 17th is World Prematurity Day. I think I might finally post something about DD on facebook on that day. I never announced her birth like most people do because I didn't feel like celebrating it at the time. I was so upset and overwhelmed that I didn't want people asking me how she was doing or when she was coming home. And appropriately, the 17th is her 6 month birthday! So it'll be nice to post something about World Prematurity Day and her 6 month birthday together. Some people don't even know I had a baby!

    I didn't know it was the entire month. I knew the 17th was World Prematurity Day and only because a friend of mine (she had a 29weekers last March) tagged me in a post.

    I was also going to share this, which was shared by a world prematurity day page on FB, but didn't know where so this seems like a good spot. Kind of made me teary eyed.

    @lacijacques that looks awesome! I was just going to say that I got the sticker from that facebook page and then I used ribbet.com to make the collage!
