So our baby shower was Saturday, & it was way more than I ever expected. We invited 150 people, 104 showed. Decor was great. Cake and cupcakes were amazing. Omg the food was out of control. We got so many gifts and made about $1500 in gift cards, cash and checks. We got the stroller, convertable car seat, pack n play, bouncer(2), baby monitor (4), wipe warmer, bottles, etc. The crib and dresser are being delivered Jan 8th. We went and bought (with gift cards) an infant car seat, diaper genie, swing, bath spa, lotions, soaps, and a bunch of clothes. We a ton of things!

We still need a crib mattress, changing table pad, blankets, bibs, walker, high chair, and a bunch of little things.

I have a question about car seats. How long does the baby stay in the infant car seat? I have a convertable one also that holds 5-30 lbs.

I was so happy to see everyone come out and celebrate with us.

    Sounds like a great shower.  I'm not sure on the car seat question.  I think I had the same question with DS, and I checked with his pediatrician about when he was ready to move on.  I can't remember for sure, but I think it was just based on weight/height.

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

    Congrats on the great shower! With DD, I think we had her in the carrier until...7 or 8 months? She got to be pretty long and even though technically she met the requirements, we thought it would be best for her and easier for us to move her to the britax convertible car seat. That carrier got to be too heavy to lug everywhere. Sorry, I wish I had a better memory! Edit: spelling
