Mucus plug

I believe I lost my mucus plug this morning! I am 36 weeks today. I called the dr and they said its normal just the body preparing for labor. It could start today or weeks from today. Just wanted to know if anyone else lost theirs and of so when did they start labor? So nervous and excited. I want the baby to be ready though not too early! :-)

    yes that happened to me, and 2 weeks later she was out...so just be very careful at this time...

    Women lose their mucus plug days, weeks and months before actually going into labor.  I lost mine with my 2nd and 3rd just before 37 weeks and 37 weeks exactly.  I went into labor at 42 weeks with my 2nd and was induced at 39 weeks with my 3rd.  The mucus plug can regenerate and really isn't an indication much more is happening than your body preparing.

    Is this a must? Does the fact that mine hasnt budged mean I am still WEEKS away then? Or can it slip out one day and then bam, labor gets moving shortly after. OP- hope you feel this is a hijack. . .

    @YummeeCookee with my first pregnancy I lost it all at once. I woke up to bloody show and full-blown contractions started shortly thereafter. That was three days before my due date, DS1 was born very early the next day. 

    This time around, I lost some of it last week, and over the past two days it has been coming out in gobs (sorry, TMI!). No bloody show as of yet. I'm really hoping it means that labor is going to start soon, because I'm done with these false starts and ready for these twins to come OUT. :)

    I lost mine at 36 weeks and here I am 41 weeks and no baby.
    Pregnancy discovered at 12 weeks 12/2007 - D&C at 13 Weeks due to partial Ectopic pregnancy/Body rejecting pregnancy. Last Pregnancy - EDD August 2013 TTC Our first miracle baby.

    I am 37.3 weeks and have been losing mine over the last few days. Friday I was 3 cm and 80% effaced. Dr. says baby is good to go, so I hope this means she is on her way!

    I lost mine 3 times from week 37 to week 39 with my first. Delivered at 39.1 weeks. I'm 38.2 weeks pregnant with my second and have lost small bits and lots of mucus but still waiting at this point.

    @YummeeCookee I am due November 29 also! :) I found out I was 3cm dilated and 70% effaced on Tuesday, which is MUCH more than I ever was pre-labor with DS1. I could go any time, but I will be induced on Friday if things don't start on their own before then, because my OB likes to deliver twins at 38 weeks.
