After having to take a year off to take care of my mother, we are back in the adoption journey. We found out this week that a judge has chosen us as the foster-to-adopt parents for a precious sibling group. She is 3, and he is 2. We meet them tomorrow! We will begin about 4 weeks of visits and likely move them in with us around Thanksgiving. We'll get a better idea of the schedule tomorrow. They have been with a foster family for a little over a year. Any advice for tomorrow's first meeting and this visitation process, and preparation process? So excited and emotional already! I am not feeling well and this is the ideal weekend to rest, but I can't be still. I am a nesting fool. There is so much to do. DH is pretty relaxed. He is just looking at toys online and watching football. I am reading everything I can, organizing closets, designing bedrooms, more. This is our first placement. My mom is better, but will probably always live with us.

If they have been with the same foster family for a long period of time, I'd try and find a way that you can connect with them. They can often give a better insight into the children's likes, dislikes, bio family connections etc..
I'm so happy for you guys. What a great way to kick off the holiday season.
Have fun, take lots of pictures, and take time to journal what is going on, how you feel, etc.
