So my mother got my son about 20+ of those huge books they usually use for story time in classes and such and I'm kind of at a loss on how to store/display them. They don't fit on normal shelves and I haven't really seen any way to display them, because he's a far cry away from being old enough to sit still in front of me to read them.
Any ideas? If I can't figure something out I'm probably going to donate them to my kindergarten teacher friend. But I really don't want to, 'cos my mom was super excited that she got such a good deal for them. But I hate that they just sit in a stack in the closet not getting used for any purpose.
I really like bookshelves like this. This is from Pottery Barn, so obviously it's pricier, but you could DIY one on the cheap. I actually bought a hanging wall shelf at a yardsale which I intend to outfit with dowels and paint so it's like this.
That would probably work! I'll just have to find one with a tall enough back bc they're use and they all have soft covers, so they're flimsy, hence the trouble.
I just bought one of these and painted it for this exact thing. We keep them sideways on bookcase right now but they take up too much space that way (we have a lot of handmedown books.) I am very happy with how it turned out so I think I will buy more and maybe bolt them together to stack them.

Thanks so much for the ideas!
