How many ounces do your LOs take a day?

I know this has been asked before so I'm really sorry for the repeat, I just want to get the most 'up to date' numbers or I wouldn't ask again.

My LO is at daycare from 7AM-4PM and usually takes 3-4oz bottles. Sometimes he takes 4-4oz bottles. So typically 12-16 oz total.

I send 4 bottles a day. 3 out of 4 are 5oz and 1 is a 6oz bottle. The 6 oz-er is for after his big nap (which is never at the same time every day). He usually only has 3 bottles while he's there but occasionally he will have the 4th so I send it just in case.

Mine eats 3 bottles from 8 to 5 and eats 6 oz each. He'd eat more if I gave him more!!

Our DCP provides his food, which is awesome because Z never eats the same amount at the same times! I'd say that he usually gets between 18-22oz at daycare alone. Eating anywhere from 30-34 a day these days, little chunk.

From 8-4 she takes 3 3 oz bottles. Sometimes she takes a fourth.

20 oz- she takes 4-5oz bottles. My baby LOVEs to eat.

From 7-4 at daycare and she takes 2 or 3 7oz bottles. She takes a total of4 7oz bottles a day. We just increased an extra oz last week.

From 7:30 to 5:30 Arlo takes about 25 to 28 ounces. He has 5 or 6 ounce bottles every 2 hours, so five bottles a day. You'd think id be 100 lbs by now the way this kid nurses and eats!

@calikat80 This is Lucas! I'm basically sitting here obsessing about if he's being overfed. I think he is because he's throwing so much more of it up then he does on the weekends when he nurses directly but I don't want my kid miserable all day because Mom decided she knew better then him if he was hungry. Bah. Babies are hard.

@bunnylove416 it's tough to tell! Ds1 was the same way- a huge crazy eater the whole year he nursed. However with DS1 he often spit half of it back up. The doc said if I was producing enough and he was taking it just let him have it and he'll eventually stop over eating. Ds1 was such a string bean though that I always just let him take the massive quantities. Now Arlo is scary- he keeps it allllll down. He's a tank. They are like 2 different babies but they both ate a ton and the docs were ok with it!

@callkat80 Thanks for the follow up

It always helps to hear that other babies are (were) doing the same thing! I worry because formula is filling in the gap there of what he's getting every day so I wonder if he's getting too much. Anyway, he's not gaining a ton of weight and the doc isn't concerned so I should probably just calm the heck down about it.

Total side note. I love love the name Arlo. And the mental image of the baby tank made me laugh at my desk.

Soren is at daycare 7am-6pm and takes 24-28 oz while there. He usually nurses 3-4 times per day as well.

DS2 is at daycare from 7:15 to 4. I get home from work around 5:10. He takes 14 oz spread out in 4 bottles. Then he's ready for a snack nursing at 5:30. He waits for a bigger session until 6:30 when he goes to bed.

Oddly, if the boys are home with DH for the afternoon, DS2 usually sleeps through an afternoon feeding so only has 10.5 oz before I get home.

I send four 4 oz bottles, but she only takes three of them. She has taken four bottles one time, so I'm glad I send in an extras one, just in case.

I am away 10 hours, sometimes I feed right before I leave so that skews things a little. But she is all over the map, anywhere between 8 ounces and 24 ounces. Its a total crap shoot. She used to be pretty consistent with 3.5 to 4 ounces a feed and 3 of those a work day. She will be 5 months Thursday.

She's at daycare from 9:15-4:15 and I take 3 5 oz bottles. Sometimes she finishes the last bottle after DH picks her up.

I send (3) 4.5 oz bottles and then a (1) 2 oz bottle for an emergency. DD eats every three hours (9, 12, 3) and then I BF immediately upon getting home at 6pm. She often leaves about a 0.5 ounce so I assume she eats between 25-27 ounces a day as she feeds 6 times a day total.

I send 3 5oz bottles, so 15 oz total at daycare. He's there 7:45-4:15.

We have a similar situation - though LO is at daycare for about 9 hours. Ideally he'd have 3 5oz bottles, but many days he'll just eat 2 5oz bottles. Today he hardly ate anything! I wish it were more consistent, but it is what it is!

She's at DC 8-9hrs. I send 4-4oz bottles of BM. She eats 3 bottles most days so only 12oz during the day but she's a chunk and nurses like crazy in the morning and evenings.

My son eats whatever amount he wants at each sitting. He eats about 6 times in 24 hours (well 12ish since he's sleeping otherwise) but total about 32-38oz plus three meals of about 6T of food/cereal.

Just turned 5 months last week.

Oh my child drinks.....2 oz a day at daycare (8 hrs). No, that's not a typo....only 2 oz! She's still not taking a bottle really....What the heck kid! She's been in daycare since Sept. 1st! Insanity! She's thriving and happy the entire time though. My DD#1 only drank 2 5oz bottles. I have strange children
