Baby's First Solid- clicky poll

Solids are around the corner for LO! She has only had breast milk and I am debating what I want to start with. What did you start with or plan to start with?

    I'm still researching blw to see if I want to do that full on or kind of do a hybrid. Anyway, I voted other because it might be poi (a starchy Hawaiian food made from the taro plant) or avacado. I still have a while to decide tho.

    I started already with oatmeal mixed with BM. I will start with avocados next when he's close to 6 months.

    My lo has had a taste of mashed banana, avocado and carrots. He loved the avocado. Just a small taste of each as he is interested in food now.

    I tried a tiny bit of avocado just to see how he'd take it. He looked grossed out. I gave him a 4th of a banana with some of the peel still on as a handle and he grabbed that and sucked on it for a good while. But it's only been a one time thing so far.

    Started with cereal but he's had green beans, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, pears, applesauce, bananas, and he's even had some mashed potatoes.

    Started with apples because once when I was eating an apple with her in my lap I wasn't paying attention and she got a hold of it and went nuts.

    We started with a little bit of Organic Rice cereal because of his constant spitting up. He only ate that for two days though. I have been making all of his baby food and so far he has had Sweet Potato, squash, apples, pumpkin, and pears. Sometimes I mix one of those with rice cereal. I planned to wait until he was much older to introduce any food, but sometimes baby has other plans! It's really helped his spitting up.

    I guess I'm the only one who did butternut squash! And Mr. Baby loved it, and still does. He had some mixed with fresh banana for breakfast today.

    Pumpkin puree. I was making pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and put some on my finger for her to taste, she loved it and swallowed it instead of pushing it out. That's how I knew she was ready for other stuff too.

    We do the gerber oatmeal mixed with pumped breastmilk. It took him a couple tries but last night he ate the whole little container! It was cute. And I swear it's helping him sleep longer (we feed it to him around 7)

    We haven't started yet (my LO just turned 4 months) but when we do our plan is todo avocado, banana and baby oatmeal to start (not all the same day)
