And most importantly!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
No help with the spotting, though.
Big congrats and yay to twins!
I had a tiny spotting 2 or 3 days past our transfer (a little pink tinge when I wiped) but nothing major. At 9w2d I started bleeding really heavy (a mix of red and brown), made a trip to the ER and was diagnosed with a subchorionic hematoma. The bleeding subsided pretty quickly though and I had light spotting until 9w4d. Then at 11w3d & 11w5d I had some more dark brown spotting--from the SCH. My doctor said they're very common and didn't seem too concerned because mine's not very large. Even if your doctor didn't see one on the u/s, you could still have tiny one. Just try to take precautions and keep an eye on things.
I'm now 13w5d and everything seems fine, but I'm getting an ultrasound every month just to monitor both babies' growth and make sure the SCH isn't getting larger.
As far as the spotting, I had a small amount at that early stage with my twins that my OB figured was related to implantation. You're still fairly early, so possibly that may be it, but I did not have IVF so maybe that's not true in your case? I dunno if that would change things or not....
Take it easy and try not to freak out.
I knew I was going early from the beginning since I had a history of preterm babies prior to the twins. Those symptoms (PTL) showed up with the twins as well and I clung on until 34w5d.
If I'm reading your siggy right, looks like your are a first time mom (FTM)...
So as far as your EDD, even if you make it to 38+ weeks, if anyone offers to throw you a baby shower, most MoM's on here would encourage you to inform the hostess to plan around having the shower at 28 weeks, for various reasons. Trust me on that one

I guess the moral of that story is not to worry too much, get help when you need it, and never ever give up hope! No matter how negative the ER doctor sounds
Right ovary removed 09.04.2012 via vertical laparotomy
Essure implant placed on remaining tube 06.13.2013; successful followup scan 09.30.2013
I am 33w3d today and 1 centimeter dilated. I have had no complications other than shortened cervix. They could come tomorrow or in 3 weeks. The average for all twins is 35 weeks. Some are delivered at 28 weeks, others are induced at 38 with no end in sight. Things change very quickly In Twins pregnancy so you cannot really have expectations for anything - jut roll with the punches! That's why we are monitored so closely and frequently.
I had pink/brown spotting on/off for the first few weeks that I attributed to the progesterone supps. Then a gush of blood sent me to the ER at 13 weeks, that was an endocervical polyp. I think spotting is common, especially with multiples, but if in doubt, ask your RE!

It's triplets!!
Welcome and Congrats!
I was planning on going till 37-38 weeks. I usually told my EDD (Nov 7) and just said we hope to make it till mid Oct. Well, I made it till the end of Sept (Stupid HELLP syndrome!). My OB also thought I had di/di twins (they were mo/di) so I wasn't monitored as well as I should have been.
